Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251012-6C0FE-2147327141. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Apple Iphone 13. Source model text: iPhone 13 Pro max. Incident: I updated my iPhone 13 Pro Max and immediately after the update, the phone started overheating badly. It gets so hot it feels like its burning my hand, and Im scared to keep using it. I can not work or do what I need to do because after minimal use it gets hot. I reached out to Apple, but theyre blaming the battery and telling me I need to pay to replace it even though the problem clearly started after the software update. Before the update, my phone worked fine. I dont feel safe using it now, and Apple should take responsibility and replace it. My kids can no longer use my phone as I am concerned
