Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251110-500A6-2147326453. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LSEL6333F. Incident: Upon first use to heat to test refrigerator cookies and baked for 6-8 minutes; smelled like new burn off and very little smoke from behind range, second use heated air fry then within a few minutes heavy smoke came from the back of the range but no flames or no smoke inside the oven; the smoke was coming from inside the back panel and would not quit. I immediately turned off the breaker and the range continued to smoke for an additional 20 - 25 minutes. I thought it was ready to go into flames and way too hot to pull out away from the wall. The next day when cooled off; I pulled the range from the wall to see the brown fire residue which appears that the fire pad was smoldering having caught on fire. Model LG LSEL6333F.
