Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251125-E72AC-2147326101. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Mr. Coffee 14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker BVMC-PC14BL2. Source model text: BVMC-LM300. Incident: I use the Mr Coffee BVMC-LM300 to make coffee and tea drinks. It includes a frother. A piece of metal broke off the frother and ended up in my beverage. It exposed a small magnet that is just glued in place. I reached out to the company to express concern about safety, and they replied that because the product is out of warranty they provide no service. The machine is two years old and only lightly used in a home setting. My concern is that the metal part or magnet could be unknowingly consumed by a person, and the company provided a generic and uninterested response.
