Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251216-1C361-2147325499. Matched catalog product: Samsung UN43NU7100FXZA. Incident: On 11/30/2025, my 2018 Samsung smart TV abruptly started sparking and producing smoke, before I quickly turned it off. This was after 10 minutes of regular use. The TV has evidence of damage. The frame of the TV has burn marks. There were no injuries that happened, however it could have easily started a fire if the sparks had caught on something flammable and had I not quickly unplugged the TV from the wall socket.
