Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251222-30EEC-2147325308. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Cosori AO-RXB (Cosori Smart Air Fryer Toaster Oven). Incident: Hello, I own a Cosori Smart Air Fryer/Toaster Oven that I received as compensation for a previous recall of another one of their products that was deemed dangerous and subjected to a recall. The item I have now (it is barely 2 years old) has started making an extremely loud noise when I start it sometimes and I have to unplug it to stop the noise. I fear that this item has the potential to be dangerous because the sound it makes is nothing I have ever heard. The model # is AO-RXB and the B/N # is OFUS0002972122. UPDATED ON 12/30/2025: [Regarding the "risk of harm" issue, please allow me to elaborate. The smart air fryer/toaster oven issue has gotten worse. Now, the very loud noise and inability to shut it off has gotten much worse. Please see attached video. This video was shot after the machine was turned off by pulling the plug. The machine cannot be shut off by the "off" button and does not shut off after pulling the plug. Instead, when I pull the plug, the outlet starts sparking and I am afraid of getting burned and/or causing a fire. No appliance should have to be turned off at the plug and cause sparking and the smell of smoke at the outlet. This appliance is only 2 years old and barely out of warranty. I obtained this item as an exchange on a recall and this is no better. Also, there are discussions of this exact smart air fryer with the same issues I am having on the internet, so this is not an isolated incident. ]
