Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251227-9BBF4-2147325155. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Product: Samsung RF29BB89008MAA (Samsung 29 cu. ft. Bespoke 4 Door French Door Refrigerator with Family Hub Matte Black Steel). Incident: We purchased a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator in February 2025. Since installation, the refrigerator has had multiple serious safety and performance issues. The refrigerator is electrically unsafe. On multiple occasions, family members have experienced electric shock when touching the refrigerator or freezer doors. The refrigerator doors create a pinch hazard. My childs fingers have repeatedly gotten stuck when closing the door, creating a serious risk of injury to a child. The freezer does not function properly. At times, all frozen food completely melts. At other times, food becomes freezer burned due to unstable temperatures. The freezer does not maintain a consistent safe temperature. Food repeatedly melts and then refreezes, causing freezer burn. This has caused repeated food loss. This has resulted in spoiled food and food waste on multiple occasions, and we have had to throw away food many times due to unsafe storage conditions. This appears to be a temperature control failure and presents a food safety risk. The top of the refrigerator shakes excessively every time the door is opened, which raises concerns about internal mechanical or electrical failure. This product presents an ongoing safety hazard to my child and my family. I have contacted the retailer multiple times requesting a return or refund due to safety risk, but they refused and told me to use warranty service only. This is not a minor repair issue but a dangerous appliance. The hazard is ongoing. My childs fingers and my own fingers continue to get stuck every time we open or close the refrigerator doo
