Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251230-9D830-2147325054. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung NE63T8511SS. Incident: Samsung stove has caused multiple small fires in my home. The knobs are known to be unsafe. They sent clips to stop them from rotating but this has caused the plastic behind the knobs to chip and break which allows food matter to fall into the front facade of the stove. The solution also requires diligence from customers who should not be required to perform extra steps in order to remedy a deadly design flaw. Most recently the knobs ruined Christmas dinner and caused a fire. This was a traumatic experience for my son and this could have been avoided if the manufacturer recall was sufficient.
