Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260202-310C0-2147323946. Matched catalog product: Lennox Heat Pump Package Unit Model 13HPP42AP-3A. Source model text: EL180UH100NE60C. Incident: My Lennox Hvac Furnance Model #EL180UH100NE60C Serial# 5921H0544 that I had installed on Dec 30, 2021, stopped working so I had no heat. I called a couple places to fix it and they said it was the heat shield. They also told me it was on recall but it wasn't offical so I would have to pay for the labor of $350 but the part was under warranty. He said some environmental agency told Lennox and other Hvac companies in the [REDACTED] County areas of California had to start using a new metal in their heat shields. This heat shield started warping and could cause a fire hazard as the metal wasn't strong enough to with stand the heat. So now they are going back to the old part which works alot better. How do I make this an offical recall so I can get my labor charge refunded to me?
