SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260211-30034-5891666. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Whirlpool WMH53520CS - 2. Incident: (02/09/2026) The consumer put frozen spinach in the microwave. He set the timer for 4 1/2 minutes with 30 seconds increments, which he always does. He left the room for a half hour. When he returned to the room, the unit was not running, and the food was on fire. The unit was dead. Earlier someone else saw that the timer had jumped to 30 minutes but they also left the kitchen
