Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260211-52770-2147323668. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Whirlpool WDT730HAMZ1. Source model text: WDT739HAMz1. Incident: Whirlpool dishwasher model No:WDT730HAMZ1, start the dishwasher by itself repeatedly. Only way to turn it off is turn off at the circuit breaker. We afraid to left the dishwasher on because it may flood the house besides wasting water. Called Whirlpool but they will not covered this issue because it is just outside the manufacturer 1year warranty (we have been this new house 1.5 years now). I told them it is the safety issue because the dishwasher turns itself on and will not stop!! The 1st time happened was 10 or 11 months ago which was with in the 1 year warranty period. We did call Whirlpool because it stopped a day later after we cracked the door open to relieve the moisture inside but now it runs continuously.
