Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260217-3BE08-2147323461. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Electrolux EFME627UTT (A home clothes dryer.). Incident: This has been happening for several years. It happened again recently and I thought to report it. It came to mind again yesterday when the washing machine we bought at the same time caused a flood in our laundry room and basement that we are waiting for a repair man to come and take ea look at. These appliances have been a constant and ongoing NIGHTMARE. They've been garbage. Our Electrolux clothing dryer has on many occasions had the lint screen pop out of it's spot in the dryer during the drying cycle. It pops out and then the opening gets filled with items of clothing. I came to this website to see if it has been recalled thinking surely it had and I do not see where it has. I'm so surprised we haven't had a fire. We dont use the dryer when we are not home (set it and leave--we don't do it) and I pay attention when the dryer is going. If i hear a BANG BANG BANG thenI know that the lint screen has popped out and is bouncing around inside the dryer.
