SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260323-ED1DF-2147322388. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Product: Sherman RJ11-18-TI-KW (Chefman Power Infusion Plus 1.8L Electric Kettle (RJ11-18-TI-KW) TCIN: 89182726 DPCI: 072-08-0010 UPC: 810087844035). Summary of Incidents Unit 1 After approximately two weeks of normal use, the kettle began emitting a noticeable electrical burning odor. The unit was returned and replaced through an exchange. Safety Risk These conditions presented a significant fire hazard. The situation required active monitoring to prevent escalation. A fire may have occurred had the unit been left unattended. Electrical System Verification: To rule out external causes, the residence electrical system was inspected by maintenance personnel. All outlets, including the GFCI outlet used, and the breaker panel were tested and found to be functioning properly. The GFCI outlet did not trip during either incident. Conclusion: Based on two separate failures under normal operating conditions and verification of a properly functioning electrical system, this appears to be a potential product defect and safety risk rather than an isolated environmental issue. Request: I recommend investigation into this model for potential overheating or electrical failure risks. I am requesting appropriate follow-up, including documentation of this complaint and any corrective actions. UPDATED ON 4/10/2026: [As I had stated in my
