SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260413-F9FCA-2147320618. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Neisouf 17ft 33 ft. Incident: We recently purchased a childrens night light on amazon, and what happened is honestly terrifying. Within less than 30 minutes of plugging it in, we noticed a strong burning smell. When we checked, the entire light had overheated and started melting. I cant even begin to imagine what could have happened if this occurred in the middle of the night while our two kids were asleep in their room. This is not just a defective product!!its a serious safety hazard that could have led to a fire or something much worse. Our whole family was shaken and couldnt sleep after this incident.
