Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260421-A2F79-2147320274. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Samsung Slide In 0HFE7DDR600256Y (Samsung Stove Oven, black and stainless steel. Model Number: 0HFE7DDR600256Y. It is used for normal cooking and baking at home.). Incident: I bought a Samsung Stove from Best Buy in September 13, 2021. Last Saturday 4/18/2026 at approximately 11:45 a.m.. My carbon monoxide detector went off, stating "carbon monoxide!" We evacuated my home and my dogs. The fire department came out and determined that the stove oven was leaking carbon monoxide, putting our lives in danger. The stove's ID# is 0HFE7DDR600256Y. I contacted Best Buy's corporate office and they demonstrated a very lax attitude. They simply stated that since it was no in extended warranty there was nothing they could do. This is not a "normal warranty issue," this is A SERIOUS SAFETY DEFECT. I'm very disappointed. I've not been able to use my stove since Saturday. I don't want to have it repaired, as I don't want to put us in danger. I now need to buy another one.
