Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260518-B6715-2147319106. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Product: Apple 15 pro max. Model MU693LLA (Cell phone). Incident: I am reporting a defective Apple iPhone that has overheated since the day it was purchased and has progressively worsened over time. The device becomes extremely hot during normal use, including texting and browsing, and has caused burns to the tips of my fingers. The phone also experiences significant battery drain accompanying the overheating. I contacted Apple shortly after purchase to report the issue, and there should be documentation of that complaint. Despite this, the issue was not resolved and Apple has since declined to provide a remedy. This is a serious safety concern, as a consumer device should not cause physical injury during normal use. I am reporting this to document the hazard and prevent harm to others. Apple Case Number: [REDACTED]
