Incident: Severe product defect. High-resistance connection at the main wiring harness resulted in an electrical arc, melting the plastic housing and welding the heater relay shut. The dryer experienced a thermal runaway event, continuing to heat aggressively while completely turned off and idle, creating an active fire/smoke hazard that required emergency manual disconnection from the 240V wall outlet to prevent a structure fire.
