Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260529-887F8-2147318410. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Electric Range Model FFEF3054TS. Source model text: FFEF3054TSH. Incident: On May 28, 2026, the outer glass panel of my Frigidaire electric range oven door (Model FFEF3054TSH) shattered unexpectedly while the oven was not in use. The oven had not been used that day and no cooking or baking was taking place. I heard two loud noises from another room and, upon investigation, discovered that the outer glass panel of the oven door had shattered and fallen into the lower storage drawer and onto the floor. No one was near the appliance at the time, and the door had not been struck, slammed, or otherwise impacted. The inner oven glass remained intact while the outer glass completely shattered. Broken glass was found throughout the door frame, lower storage drawer, and surrounding area. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, but the incident created a significant safety hazard.
