Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260531-48446-2147318310. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LG Gas range, Model LDG4313BD. Source model text: LRGL5823S. Incident: I turned the self clean cycle on my 18 month old LG Propane Oven yesterday, model LRGL5823S. An hour into the cycle, I heard a loud explosion of glass. I was in the kitchen, but thankfully not right by the oven, because glass was at least a foot around the perimeter, most of the glass pouring and popping out of the bottom of the door. The inner glass of the door had exploded. There was a mat in front of the oven, and the glass coming out actually melted the mat. I immediately reached over and turned the oven off. For an hour after that, as the oven cooled, more glass just kept breaking and falling out of the bottom of the door. I reached out to customer service and was gifted a 25% coupon code.
