Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260612-C02CF-2147316947. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Battleborn battery 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery (It is a lithium iron phosphate battery that is designed for use in cabins, rvs and boats.). Incident: I have a [REDACTED] channel where I test batteries and solar equipment. I have found a major fire safety issue with multiple products from battleborn batteries. I am able to reproduce the issue in a brand new battery and I have my battery cycle machine to prove it. There are multiple spots on the product that can melt because the main terminal and supply connection has a piece of plastic that melts and creates a loose connection. Once this happens, the whole battery can melt and vent gases. I have multiple videos proving that this issue is reproducible and indeed a defect of the product. Once I posted my videos, many other people came forward with the same issue. I continued testing and found even more issues. Their larger battery does not have a mechanical connection between the cell packs, and if used in a high vibration environment, such as an RV or boat (which they are advertised to be used in), hot spots will occur and can cause a cell to vent. I had this happen in my backyard during testing and I captured the moment on camera. I have that posted in a [REDACTED] video as well. There is a class action lawsuit named "[REDACTED]" where the plastic sandwhich electrical connection is called into question. The plantiff is the president of the [REDACTED]. He created many of the UL standards we use for this equipment, and even he is saying there is a major issue. For posting my videos, this company has filed a lawsuit against me for sharing the truth on this issue. I do not know what to do now because these batteries are in the field and people are still reporting melting batt
