Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260801-EF404-2147313085. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Kidde Model P4010DCS-W. Source model text: P4010DCS-W. Incident: Eight Interconnected wireless Kidde smoke alarm/ CO2 detectors installed by prior owner in June 2025. Required by state of RI and only ones approved by the state. They keep going off in 2 of our 3 condo units. Dunns Corners RI Fire Marshall tells me they are no longer sold because they are defective. Kidde however has not issued a recall. We now have to pay again to replace 1 year old alarms that are supposed to have 10 year batteries . Looking to get a recall issued so we and probably thousands of people can use the refund to purchase new, safe , working alarms
