Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260802-255D5-2147312996. Severity: No Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung NE59J7630SS. Incident: I was baking dinner in the oven and cooking on the stovetop. I heard a buzzing sound and then flames started shooting up behind the stove. After a minute the flames stopped and I was able to turn the stovetop and oven off. After the oven and stovetop were cool enough, we slid the oven away from the wall. We could see that the flames had come from the vent at the back of the stove. We removed the back panel and the controller board was black from the fire. Had the wall behind the stove not been tiled, the wall could have caught fire and resulted in a very dangerous situation and our house being burned down.
