Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260816-76C4C-2147312342. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Bluvall V1 (Bluvall ebike b1). Incident: I purchased a bluevall V1 e-bike from their company website and the steering head was loose so I removed the handlebar and The handlebar is held on by an 8 mm bolt that screwed into the down tube and the only thing the 8mm screw is attached to was a sheet metal star washer wedged into the down tube with nothing else holding it other than the bend in the star washer which could create a real hazard if the handlebar came off when someone's jumping or riding at 35 miles an hour also the shocks were extremely stiff so I investigated what the issue was with the front forks and there's only one spring in the left front fork and it's being held down by a piece of 3/4 inch white PVC plastic pipe in the spring is way too strong there is no spring at all in the right front fork which creates torsional stress on the fork in the triple clamp furthermore the head stem on the front forks was loose in the frame so I took that apart and there is no bearings in there it's not even adjustable there's just two white plastic bushings holding it together or providing support which one it started getting loose it would wobble the front wheel would wobble at 35 miles an hour The bike I have is a cruiser style but they also sell off-road bikes that are made for jumping like motorcycles and if they have the same head stem set up and a handlebar comes off someone's going to get a broken spine or a handlebar going through their chest these bikes are extremely dangerous and they're a disaster waiting to happen
