Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260829-0B5BE-2147311796. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Samsung SM-S921U (Samsung Galaxy S24 cell phone). Incident: Product: Samsung Galaxy S24 Retailer: TMobile Incident Type: Fire - thermal Runaway I am reporting a serious safety hazard involving my Samsung Galaxy S24. The device caught fire and was destroyed. This was not due to misuse, damage, or external force. The phone ignited spontaneously and posed a severe fire risk. I am a 65yearold consumer, and this incident created a dangerous situation in my home. TMobile refused to replace or credit the device, and I am still being billed for it despite the fact that it no longer exists. This is a clear manufacturer defect and a thermalrunaway event similar to other Samsung incidents reported to the CPSC. I am requesting that Samsung investigate this hazard, provide a replacement or reimbursement, and ensure this defect does not harm other consumers. Please treat this matter as urgent.
