Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260924-A6A5E-2147309129. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FCRG306LAFG. Source model text: FCRG306LAF. Incident: Front buttons on Frigidaire 30 5.1 cubic ft natural gas range, model #FCRG306 LAF turn on when leaning over the range and slightly brushing up against the knobs. The knobs can be easily turned and ignited by small children or even without awareness by adults causing potential serious bodily harm, death and significant property damage. The knobs slightly turn sometimes when a persons body brushes up against the knobs causing gas to leak into the living area and they even ignite sometimes. There are no warning labels or notices to this effect. Lowes sold me this range last month (August 2026) and I just learned that it was recalled for a separate issue on March 19, 2026, (recall number 26-333) but Lowes did not inform me of the recall before it was purchased and installed.
