Brand-new VB WRX owned a little over two years developed knocking; the dealer said the engine needed replacement for about $10,000. Oil was changed every 3–5k miles with only a muffler delete. The dealer said oil history looked good but the car was just outside the 60k mileage warranty, so warranty would not cover it; owner opened a case with Subaru of America advocacy.
