KIA EV6 2023

ICCU on my Kia EV6, this is a known issue, shouldn’t be bound by miles, as it’s not a mileage issue or concern! The warning was Stop Vehicle Check Power Supply!

Got in my car to leave a store and heard a loud pop and noticed a smell like an electric motor burning. Backed out of my space to drive home and the car displayed several error messages- Check electric vehicle system, turtle mode, power reduced. I was stranded and had to order a tow truck to be towed to the dealer and get a ride home.

*ICCU assembly and ICCU fuse fault (a kia recall SC327( NHTSA ID: 24V867000) for ICCU was performed months early but does't help AND iccu crash) *yes - cars stop workind in the midle of nower at 317 mile away from home with 5 persons in) *yes ( kia already performed recall SC327 for our car but doest help and the ICCU crash) *yes *yes-vehicle broke down while driving.Had to be towed to closest Kia dealer(the incidend hapened 317 miles away from our home Dacula GA 30019)

While driving a rented 2023 Kia EV6 on the freeway, the vehicle lost power and shut down completely, without warning, on multiple separate occasions during a single trip. This occurred at highway speed in live traffic, creating a serious risk to vehicle occupants and surrounding traffic. The vehicle was a rental (Dollar Rent A Car); no external damage or collision was involved. The vehicle has since been towed.

The vehicle experienced a persistent electrical system defect causing the 12-volt battery to repeatedly discharge. The dealership replaced the 12-volt battery and performed a software update, but the issue remained unresolved. On two separate occasions the owner arrived to retrieve the vehicle only to find the battery completely discharged and the car non-operational. The vehicle remained at the dealership for over 30 consecutive days with multiple failed repair attempts.

The ICCU failed despite all prior recall updates having been performed. The failure began when the home circuit breaker tripped and the vehicle refused Level 1 charging, displaying a 'Check Electrical System' warning. When connected to a Level 2 AC charger at a public station, a loud pop occurred and the charging station immediately suffered a mechanical failure and shutdown. The vehicle then displayed 'Stop vehicle and check power supply' and was limited to 40mph with a turtle icon on the dash, creating a safety hazard in traffic. Within two hours the 12V battery was fully depleted, leaving the vehicle unresponsive and requiring a jump-start for towing. The dealer confirmed ICCU failure requiring replacement.

The ICCU unit failed, triggering a 'Check Electrical System' warning on the instrument cluster. The low-voltage battery dropped to 12.0V and vehicle speed was limited to 60 mph, then gradually reduced to 30 mph over 40 minutes as voltage fell to 11.5V even with minimal 12V loads. The vehicle had to be towed to a service center, where Kia confirmed the ICCU was defective and replaced it under warranty.

The ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) failed, causing the vehicle to not start and shut down while driving. The owner noted the car shut off as they were beginning to park. The owner expressed frustration that no recall has been issued for this known issue.

The vehicle experienced complete power loss on multiple occasions. The ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) failed, causing the car to lose power while in traffic and become immobile. The 12V battery subsequently failed to hold a charge on multiple dates. Kia issued a letter acknowledging the ICCU issue and offered free diagnosis and possible no-cost servicing. The vehicle was towed to a dealership and reportedly repaired, but power failures continued. The owner considers the vehicle unsafe due to sudden power loss while driving.
