Incident: On February 26, 2023, I purchased a 2022 HP Pavilion 17.3-inch IPS FHD Laptop via Amazon.com (order # [REDACTED]) for $783.34. The online order advertised as new on Amazon.com was fulfilled by [REDACTED] While configuring and loading software on the device, HP notified via e-mail that the factory warranty for this device expired January 24, 2023 (a month before the actual purchased). For the next few months, it would take several attempts at depressing the power button to turn on the laptop. In September the device would not turn on at all. On September 9, 2023, the laptop was taken to [REDACTED] (an authorized HP Service & Repair shop) located in [REDACTED] for evaluation and repair. [REDACTED] diagnosis stating the motherboard was bad, the power system was faulty (bulging battery. This is the first time I have ever received a defective item purchased from HP via Amazon.com. I would have never expected the HP and Amazon to provide a device that did not work properly, had sever hardware issues and was out of warranty.
