ProForm 500 incline and display still worked but the belt would not move unless pushed by hand; manually moving it started the motor with an electric burning smell while the controller LED went from solid to blinking red. About 1.5 years earlier a similar no-start issue was fixed by replacing the controller; this time there was no whirring sound on button press.
