The sensation was comparable to a forceful blow to the chest. At the time, the machine was plugged into a properly grounded kitchen outlet, as it always had been, and was switched off. I was wearing shoes, standing on a tile floor, and using a dry paper towel to remove dust. No water or liquid was involved. The machine had been in normal use for approximately five years, purchased May 30, 2021, with no prior incidents. A properly functioning grounded appliance should not deliver a shock through its external casing, which indicates a possible internal electrical fault such as a compromised ground connection or a live component contacting the chassis.
