Incident: The handle of my Cosori Air Fryer melted (during a preset french fry cycle), at the point where the basket handle was attached by screws to the inside fryer basket insert. When I turned the hot fryer basket over a bowl to empty out the fried potatoes, the entire metal insert and screws fell out and spilled the contents of very hot food, a burn hazard. The same model was just recalled for an electrical fire hazard.

Emailed the company they said to turn it in for recall. It was recalled because of the fire Hazzard stuff not because the plastic basket handle broke completely off and my steaks fell on the floor and I almost got burned and my dog too.

Incident: I have had a Cosori Air Fryer Max XL 5.8 Air Fryer since July 2020 which I purchased on Amazon. I have used it frequently 2-3 times a week since then. Today I put it on the preheat mode because I was going to reheat some pizza for my son. After about 2 minutes it made a weird sound then popped with a big spark coming from underneath the unit. Luckily, I was in the kitchen. I unplugged it quickly and then my son said that he saw a burn mark on the counter top. I turned it over and there was a flame coming from underneath the unit and a black mark on the counter. I was able to put out the fire, but this product isn�t safe. I loved it and had recommended it to several friends, but am now very concerned for anyone that has this product. If I had left the room for a minute or two my kitchen would have caught on fire. Nothing was even in it yet. So it�s clearly bad wiring or faulty.
