SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20190508-DE539-2147381121. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LSG4513ST. Source model text: LSG4513ST.BSTELGA / ELC. Incident: My LG Gas Range ultra burner continues to extinguish while on a low setting. It is only after noticing the smell of gas in my home that I am aware of the issue. The oven is less then four months old and has had the issue almost since the day I received it. I have had 3 service calls from LG and yet the problem persists. Although the oven is well within the 3 year warranty and clearly a safety hazard (the service man himself has recommended I do not use the oven!), LG refuses to replace the oven or issue a safety recall

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170508-DB5AE-2147403673. Matched catalog product: LG LSG4513ST. Source model text: Noted above. Incident: LG GAS stove/oven. You push in the front mounted knobs on the gas stove and it ignites the burners. You bump the knob and the burners ignite. The knobs are at an adult waist height and a child can push them. I have almost caught my clothes on fire while stirring something on the stove and ignite another burner. There are pictures and numerous complaints on the internet. People are removing the knobs when small children are around. Because LG Refuses to correct this issue. It is extremely dangerous. A small child is going to be severely burned and adults as well

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180131-77F7E-1730736. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: LG LSG4513ST (LG gas range Model: LSG4513ST Serial: 707KMHW03681). Incident: Dear Sir or Madam: On November 14, 2017, I purchased a new LG gas range model LSG4513ST, serial number 707KMHW03681. The range was purchased at ABC Warehouse, 15477 Hall Road, Macomb Township Michigan, 48044 (receipts attached). I am convinced that this range is a potential killer and poses an extreme threat to my family's very life, as well as the threat of extreme injury! Your range has caused several instances of inadvertent gas buildup within our house with corresponding threat of asphyxiation, and/or potential explosion or fire, a potential silent killer! The basic fault is the location and design of the gas burner control knobs on the angled face of the stove top. Minor brushing of these knobs with one's body during use or work on the stove top has in multiple events opened the gas burner to gas flow without ignition. When this occurs, it is not obvious from position of the knobs, sound, or odor, and is easily overlooked. Upon leaving the kitchen, we have in several instances, become aware of substantial gas build-up within the house due to this condition. Luckily my family did not retire for the night with this condition or we would not now be alive to write this letter. A similar problem is the inadvertent ignition of a stove top burner while one's arms are above the stovetop. This results from mistaken burner ignition due to the position of the burner control knobs, the very minor pressure necessary to turn the knob to ignition, and the speed of ignition. This type of unwanted ignition has very nearly caused burns to us and our clothing. In my opinion, it is very l
