The repair occurred on January 22, 2026. It has again failed and the display will show locked, the top burners will activate, but the oven will not function. LG had issued a product safety warning that the burners could be accidentally activated and to use the lock feature when not in use. This could lead to a dangerous fire.

Stainless Double Electric Oven Stove). Incident: Our L.G. stive is on a recall list , the knobs are easy to turn by toddlers or pets . The manufacturer suggested enabling lock . When in use its easy to turn on other knobs by bumping them causing burning yourself or others or kitchen fire . Also Lock does nt work if electric goes out it does not reset . I believe this product is dangerous the knobs are in front reachable by toddlers which we have in home or pets . We have had several burns and small cooktop fires !!! Then I come to find out stove is on recalll we bought from Walmart by third part empire appliances, we have contacted for replacement or refund . No one will help . I have proof by email . L.G. also did not help .This has been numerous incidents of danger with this stove , Im frightened to have this stove for fear of injury.

Incident: We have several LG appliances and the Slide in Stove is the most dangerous we have ever owned or seen. We had a fire and personal injury as a result of the stove top inadvertently turning on and causing a fire of the items on the stove top and the LG Studio Microwave mounted above the stove top. It does not take much to inadvertently bump or touch the front mounted knobs to unknowingly turn on the stove top causing a fire or personal injury. In our situation it was determined a guest went into the pantry and barely bump the stove and it had turned on unknowingly and the person retrieved the item from the panty and walked away, meanwhile the stove top had turned onto the high heat level and caused a fire, melted plastic of the underside of the LG Studio Microwave and filled the home with smoke and triggered fire alarms. When it was discovered, personal injury occurred from the burning and melting plastic extinguishing. The lockout is not a practical solution as guests or others are not accustomed to the requirement of locking or unlocking a stove/oven for normal operation. 99.9% of all oven and stovetops do not require a lock out procedure for normal operation; therefore, non-homeowners or Non LG appliance owners will not know to use a lock out procedure to use or lock out the oven/stove top. The knob location and functionality of device is very dangerous for fires and personal injury. A better solution is need than just a sticker which no one will read or understand as to why a lock/unlock process is needed in order to use the oven and ultimately it will lead to customer fr
