SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20151023-AF2AE-1526267. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: DuroMax XP10000EH (Dual Fuel Propane/Gas Powered Generator). Incident: The consumer stated that the rubber hose that connects the propane tank supply gas to the generator has no place to lay while the generator is in use. Leading to the rubber supply hose from the LP gas laying on the hot generator exhaust. The consumer stated that the rubber hose lays on the hot exhaust regardless of if the propane tank is hooked up and in use or not. The consumer stated that there is no place to hang the hose on the generator at any time even when it is not in use. The LP gas stays attached to the generator at all times even when the generator is running on the alternate fuel "gasoline". The consumer stated that while he was running the generator on gasoline not LP gas, noticed a strong smell from the generator. The consumer did not notice anything the matter at first but then later found that the rubber hose that goes to the LP gas tank had melted in half with a small piece of the hose falling to the ground. The consumer stated that the hose did come curled up on top of the motor from the factory out of the box. Consumer stated that there is no place to hang the hose while the generator is running on LP gas or on regular gas.The consumer stated that there is no place to hang the hose while running the generator or moving the generator on its wheels. The only logical spot to place the hose is curled up on top of the motor when you are trying to move the generator or not using the LP gas tank. It's not logical to lay the open end of the hose in the dirt potentially leading to dirt in the line and possible damage to the fitting on the end of the hose where it
