SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20140611-C3C62-2147443753. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Husqvarna 960-450015 (Husqvarna LGT2554 model# 960450015. Serial# 042710A011299 garden tractor). Incident: I purchased a Husqvarna LGT2554 Lawn Tractor from Lowe's in Campbellsville Ky on May 29, 2010. This mower is used only at my residence. On 6/06/14 the transaxle, Tuff toro K46AW broke on the left side. I had no brakes & I went into a fence; I had no control @ all. There was no warnings of any kind, no popping, cracking. When I hit the fence the wheel fell off. I thoroughly inspected at the beginning of the season & there were no cracks, etc to indicate an issue. I contacted Lowe's & Husqvarna with no results. This could have been fatal if I had went into the road. I checked the reviews & there are many incidents with this same mower, same transaxle breaking on the same side. Other consumers repaired the transaxle and 1 year later, the transaxle would break again. The model # is 960-450015, serial # 042710A011299. [REDACTED]
