Unintended Automatic Emergency Braking / Electrical System Malfunction

EyeSight/Automatic Emergency Braking system, service brakes, central electrical system, power rear liftgate, dashboard GPS clock

5 months

While traveling at highway speed on I-295 South, the vehicle's autonomous emergency braking system engaged with maximum force without any obstacle present, causing the vehicle to fishtail across lanes and nearly roll over. Prior symptoms of electrical instability included a dashboard GPS clock jumping four hours ahead in certain locations and a power rear liftgate randomly opening halfway or reversing direction unprompted. The braking issue had previously been reported to a dealership in November 2023 at 14,435 miles, but the dealer was unable to duplicate or resolve it. The vehicle was being held at an authorized dealership for inspection.
