SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240328-002B3-2147340101. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FFTR1821TDO or Q Model Type is AD-18. Source model text: FFSS2315TS. Incident: I have a Frigidaire refrigerator model FFSS2315TS that the ice maker broke pieces of plastic into the ice. I have replaced with a new ice maker that is starting to make the same type of loud banging sound as the old one. Recently as I was removing an item from the freezer section and reaching back I cut my finger. Removing the items in my freezer to see what I cut my finger on, the inside wall was cracked front to back.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260206-49D13-2147323818. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FFTR1821TDO or Q Model Type is AD-18. Source model text: FFHS2312NS0. Incident: I notified Frigidaire last month of my ice bucket having pieces break off into my ice and subsequently rusting causing dangerous contamination of my family's drinking water. I was told through the Frigidaire chat feature that I could buy new parts but Frigidaire would not replace the item. I am aware there are several models with recalls on the ice makers for this reason. I requested to speak with a manager because the issue is clearly a manufacturer defect which could result in bodily harm.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240620-74E52-2147338495. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FFTR1821TDO or Q Model Type is AD-18. Source model text: MWV150KBA. Incident: I am a fire investigator and was called to investigate a past fire incident concerning an over the range microwave appliance. The occupant had returned home and noticed a burning plastic smell in the apartment. They then found a small fire in the microwave, which was not in use at the time. They described that when they opened the door to the microwave, the issue stopped. When they shut the door, the microwave made a buzzing or humming sound and started burning again. They opened the door back up to make it stop and then called maintenance. They later determined that it was electrical arcing/sparking. They recalled that the microwave had arced in the past as well. They stated that the microwave was last used by their babysitter to warm up a bottle approximately 20 minutes before they got home and noticed the smell and fire inside the microwave.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20201023-2B25F-2025520. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Frigidaire FFTR1821TDO or Q Model Type is AD-18 (A Frigidaire refrigerator. Description on the receipt is FFTR1821TD. It was 65 1/8 "H, 29 5/8"W, &29 7/8" deep.). Incident: I opened my refrigerator and there was an awful smell. I saw what looked like soot on the orange juice and milk containers. I opened the freezer and there was a very strong burnt odor and the items in the there were covered with soot...2 packages of frozen vegetables, fish, 2 trays of ice cubes, and a bowl of cubes. I immediately unplugged the frig. I called a friend who used to own 2 appliance parts stores and asked if he knew any repairmen in my area. He gave me the name/number of someone he knew and worked with. The repairman came out the next day pulled the back off panel off the freezer and said he had only seen anything this bad once in the 30 years he's been in business. He stated that the fan motor burned up and "fried" everything. The entire freezer was burnt up. He said there was nothing he could do...I needed a new refrigerator. I bought the appliance at Home Depot in Shorewood, IL. 7/11/2018, just over 2 years ago. I went on LiveChat w/ Frigidaire. I sent them photos of the fire. They said they would investigate and get back to me. They haven't yet. When I send an email I get a response from Electolux saying a rep will contact me within 24 hours...but they don't. I don't care if it wasn't under warranty it was dangerous and something that should never have had happened. In addition to paying almost $700 for a new refrigerator I had to replace over $100 worth of food and eat out of an ice cooler for 3 days. Thank You. [REDACTED]
