Reliability signal

—

5 confirmed failure reports · Early signal · Data confidence: Low

Early signal (5 confirmed reports) suggests shorter ownership before failure (typical 21 mo), but that is not enough data for a D or F grade.

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 28, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — SaferProducts.gov incident

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260525-EFA64-2147318686. Severity: No Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FGEH3047VFD. Source model text: FGEH304VFD. Incident: Frigidaire oven FGEH3047VFD turned itself on last night. I was awaken at 3AM with the house filled with smoke. The oven set itself in self-clean mode. Several times previously I've found the stove on (at lower temps) but thought I might have not shut it off but this time I hadn't baked anything. I am the only person in the house. The smoke came from my cooking sheet in the oven and the teflon baked off at those high temps.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240402-F0799-2147340005. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FGEH3047VFD. Incident: My frigidaire range stove beeps continously throughout the day and occassionally goes crazy with beeping and an error message FO 11Err, and I must press 'off' for this particular beeping to stop. I had someone come change the control panel twice within the warranty period and now it is happening again, but even worse. The stove will turn on all by itself, pre heat, change the time, self clean...very scary. When I leave for extended periods of time I have to unplug the stove for fear it will turn on by itself and burn the house down.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20230202-47ACC-2147350983. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FGEH3047VFD. Source model text: FGEH3047VF. Incident: Frigidaire Gallery FGEH3047VF electric range purchased 8/27/2021, installed 8/28/2021. On February 1, 2023, preheated oven to 450 and placed potatoes inside to cook. Within minutes, entire range shut down due to breaker being tripped. Husband reset breaker and range did not turn on but did have pop sound. When we looked at rear of range saw wire lug mounts of main incoming power to range had burned up and melted. Called Frigidaire and they would not help other than to offer a repair company order which would not be paid for by Frigidaire. This product could have set my kitchen on fire and even if it could be repaired, I would not want to chance this happening again.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240709-52EA9-2147338109. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FGEH3047VFD. Incident: My Frigidaire Electric range Model No. FGEH3047VFD turned itself on during the night. I awoke to the smell of something burning. The oven was on at a temperature of 550 degrees F for an unknown amount of time. I was unable to turn the oven off, the digital key pad was not responding. The exterior surface of the over was very hot. I used oven mitts to pull the range out from the cabinetry and unplug from the power source. There were three skillets stored inside the oven and the handles burned and created a thick ash coating inside the oven.

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 16, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — SaferProducts.gov incident

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20230308-0FA3A-2147348923. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: FRIGIDAIRE FGEH3047VFD (Frigidaire Gallery 30 inch slide in electric range with air fry, model FGEH3047VFD.). Incident: A new electric range with convection oven, $1,800msrp, turns itself on and off at any given time This is a fire hazard! I awoke on Tuesday morning to find the warming element on. In 6 months of ownership I have never used that function. A technician came and dismantled the control panel and inside the computer circuitry board were two little insects. There are no insects in the kitchen except inside the stove circuitry .There have been two service techs in here opening cabinets and drawers, pulling the stove out, trying to find bugs and there aren't any. I told the technician the insects could have been delivered in the box with the stove and he agreed that was possible but since the insects caused the problem no repair was needed. So I have a fire hazard in my home and am afraid to leave the stove plugged in when I go out. There have been no injuries, but because the stove does things on its own it's dangerous and I am frightened to have it in my home. It seems a profound design flaw that would allow an insect to get into the inner controls of a major appliance and potentially start a fire. I have multiple photos on my phone of things this stove has done but I am not technically savvy enough to upload them. I plan to show them to the store manager when trying to return this fire hazard. I would suggest no one risk having this fire hazard in their home.
