Electric Ranges or Ovens (Excl Counter-top Ovens) (278)

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 28, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — SaferProducts.gov incident

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20220902-CE779-2147354057. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LREL6325F 01. Source model text: LREL6325F. Incident: We purchased an LG Stainless Steel Electric range in July and found that when the oven was on for over 15 minutes, the small band of metal on the front of the range right above the oven door would become hot enough to cause a burn (over 130 degrees F). We exchanged the item for another of the exact same model and it has the exact same issue, so we think it is a flaw in the product and not a problem with a specific oven.

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 28, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — SaferProducts.gov incident

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240207-CA477-2147341172. Severity: Injury, First Aid Received by Non-Medical Professional. Matched catalog product: LG LREL6325F 01. Source model text: LREl6325F / 00 . FRSLLGA. Incident: The racks in the oven collapsed in the stove. This has happened all the time that we have wrapped tin foil around them to make the racks larger . I am sure that perhaps the inside walls of the oven have expanded. It is extremely dangerous because the grease from the pans splatters all over. When my husband contacted them to let them know the racks were not wide enough they sent us one rack the exact same size. Still have the issue. He even sent them a video of it happening and you can see the racks are not wide enough. But now they have stopped responding to us. Christmas prime rib ending on the bottom of the oven. Did receive grease splatter on hands but was able to take care of this on our own. It is like they dont care. If one of my grandchildren get hurt while we are baking goodies Im going to be extremely angry. I paid good money for this stove

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260920-1CF27-2147309568. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: LG LREL6325F 01 (This is an LG household electric range Model # LREL6325F/01 Product Code: LREL6325F . FR1LLGA Serial number: 404MMUM08782. It is black, a standard size electric range, with a blue interior oven. The electric ceramic stove top is black and is NOT induction.). Incident: My ceramic stove top overheated when it was on Low. It became bright red and glowed hotter than it glows on it's highest setting. It's an LG Electric Range Model LREL6325F /01 Product Code: LREL6325F . FR1LLGA Serial # 404MMUM08782. It was being used by me an 33 yo experienced home cook on Wed Sept 16, 2026 at [REDACTED] pm. The stove was being used to boil peas. I brought the peas to a boil, and then turned it down to low. Instead of cooling off, the burner proceeded to get hotter and hotter, until I turned it off. No injuries occured, but this is a fire hazard and burn hazard if I hadn't noticed it quickly enough and if the pan had overheated. I live with my grandmother who is 88 years old and also uses this range frequently. I had second incident a few days later on 9/19/2026 with another burner. I was making applesauce from recently picked apples, and turned it down to low heat when it got hot enough. I left the stove to go upstairs for 5 minutes, and when I came back down, my grandmother said the applesauce was burning and the burner was way too hot. She turned it off. There were no injuries this time either, but it was again a fire and burn risk.
