Reliability signal

—

8 confirmed failure reports · Early signal · Data confidence: Low

Early signal (8 confirmed reports) suggests shorter ownership before failure (typical 12 mo), but that is not enough data for a D or F grade.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20231229-A5C29-2147343163. Matched catalog product: LG LTEL7337F. Incident: FIRE. While baking Christmas cookies with the grandkids and my brand new two week old, LG double oven, apparently someone brushed against the knob and turned it on which caused a fire with potholders on the stove. Top under the cookie sheets full of cookies we had smoke and fire everywhere had to evacuate the kids out of the house. It smelled so bad it burnt marks into my cooktop, we had to put air cleaners in the house before we could even come in and breathe it. It was so bad the knobs on the stove turn on way too easily. It does have a control lock option, but you can only use that if you are not using the oven or the stove top so its really scary. Some of LGs customer service was very helpful. Other was rather rude. I just think the knobs are dangerous and they could easily come up with a fix. I was actually suggested to put clear baby covers to keep children out of knobs over my brand new thousands of dollars stove that would be ugly and why should I have to do that for your design defect.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20241029-43C79-2147335658. Matched catalog product: LG LTEL7337F. Incident: We recently received our [REDACTED] issue Nov/Dec 2024 and they had a recall notice on some [REDACTED] Electric Ranges Pg 18. When I read the article I thought, that is what happened on our Electric Range. But then I realized that we have an LG Electric Range that has knobs on the front just like the [REDACTED]. Within the last 4 months, we had an instance where we had a Electric Griddle that we placed on top of our LG Electric Range and were cooking bacon. There is a pan to collect the grease, however my wife accidently bumped one of the burner knobs and turned on the burner. It melted the bacon greese trap an then started a fire on our stove top. I was able to carry the Electric Griddle outside while it was burning and then put the flames that were buring on our stove top by covering with a frying pan lid. Within the last 2 weeks, we had the same thing happen where a burner turned on while we had a griddle on the stove surface, but I caught it before it melted anything.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260521-36099-2147318933. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: LG LTEL7337F (The product is an LG electric range, model LTEL7337F. It is a full-size kitchen appliance in stainless steel finish with a smooth cooktop and front-mounted control knobs used to operate the burners and oven functions. The control knobs are located on the front upper panel of the range. The appliance is installed in a standard residential kitchen and is used for everyday cooking, including boiling, frying, baking, and general meal preparation. The issue involves the front control knobs, which can be unintentionally activated from incidental body contact during normal movement in the kitchen.). Incident: I am reporting a safety concern involving an LG electric range, model LTEL7337F. The product involved is an electric kitchen range with front-mounted burner control knobs. During normal household kitchen use, the knobs can be unintentionally activated from incidental body contact. Simply brushing against a knob while standing near the appliance or moving in front of it may energize a burner without intentional operation. The range is being used in a normal residential household environment by adults performing ordinary kitchen activities. The issue occurs during normal movement around the appliance and does not require intentional force or misuse. My concern is that the burners may activate without the user realizing it, creating a potential fire and burn hazard. Although no physical injury or fire has occurred yet, there is a significant risk of injury, burns, or property damage if accidental activation occurs unnoticed or if combustible materials are nearby. I contacted LG Electronics regarding this concern and was informed that the warning sticker and Control Lock feature are the only remedies currently available. However, these measures do not physically prevent accidental activation of the knobs and rely on user behavior and memory rather th
