2023 Hyundai Tuscon - Very Low Milage approx 6500 Miles - while in a parking lot, The rear passenger Carrier ARM which holds the Control arm fully cracked causing the Control arm to fall off. This product failure is unprecedented as it was a total part manufacture failure. NO impact or under carriage damage was found, even upon Dealer inspection. I as the driver of the vehicle confirm that No impact, accident occurred, and luckily I was not on a highway when it occurred. This was caused ONLY as a result of Product Failure. My concern is that this may occur on the other wheel(s) as a product failure is often NOT a one- product issue, but usually a batch failure. So I am concerned for my safety and the safety of others on the road with this vehicle and product part. Another concern - this vehicle was manufactured during the covid era, and I am concerned about product failures as parts were difficult to get and may have been sourced without proper testing during this time). Kindly advise me on your findings, and if there is an inspection that can be performed to assure me that the car is safe.

My 2023 Hyundai Tuscon has 36000 miles. Started running rough with a slight noise. First noticed on Wed [XXX]. On Thursday [XXX] I went to start my car and it stalled. Finally after letting it sit a few minutes it started but only to have the SGI light flash yellow and stay yellow for the remainder of the drive. That day I made an appt at my local Hyundai Dealership in Brandon Florida. They kept my car. Fast forward, Monday September 15th I was notified that the car had lost a significant amount of oil. Car was inspected and free of any leaks. Tech stated because of the low oil & oil pressure the battery life was significantly impacted. I would need an oil change & new battery. Upon arriving back I came across an article stating that excessive oil consumption is common among these vehicles and the dealer wasn't even going to notify me of this issue. They were not honest and I want to file a formal complaint knowing that this is well known issue. I feel unsafe driving my children around and am upset that a recall has not been issued to fix this. I bought a 2023 Tucson SEL from Rohrman Auto in Lafayette, Indiana It had a major drive train failure from the factory This is Failure #1 and should have been caught at the factory upon inspections I did not want to buy a vehicle from Rohrman that had a problem This is Failure #2 as the dealer admitted that they should have caught this defect in their inspections before they sold it It took me over a week to get the dealer interested in the problem. I do not want this defective car. This is Failure #3 as the dealer has pushed the resolution of this problem on me and is generally unresponsive to my direct, clear, and respectful requests I made a case with Hyundai Customer service (Case # 21183458) requesting the same. This is Failure #4 as the customer service system seems to be broken, and left me stuck between a staff turnover problem there —> As you can clearly see, HMUSA's manufacturing and quality checks failures have been compounded by customer service failures by both the ROHRMAN and HMUSA that now leaving me stuck with a major problem. I simply want a new, defect free Tucson SEL in Amazon Green or Sea Blue. You can have this defective vehicle back.

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11643749

I was driving straight when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction made a left turn without yielding, crossing into my lane. As a result, my vehicle collided with the other car at full speed. However, the airbag in my steering wheel did not deploy upon impact, as it should have. My injuries have been significantly more severe than they would have been had the airbag functioned properly. I reported this issue to the vehicle manufacturer, and they opened a case and conducted an inspection. During their inspection, they found that the airbag had since deployed. However, my vehicle was transported off a steep hill and moved to multiple lots before the inspection, any of which could have triggered a delayed deployment. Despite this, the manufacturer has refused to accept liability. Because the airbag failed to deploy at the time of impact, there was no buffer between me and the steering wheel. This resulted in excessive force against my chest from the seatbelt and direct impact with the steering wheel, leading to more severe injuries. There were no warning lights on in the vehicle before the crash, nor were there any recalls related to this issue at the time of the incident.

The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed while merging onto a highway, but the vehicle lost forward momentum. The contact stated that the message "Limited to 20 MPH" was displayed on the instrument cluster. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that the engine was not revving. The contact pulled off the highway and into a parking lot. The contact turned the vehicle off and on, and normal driving was resumed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent and was occurring while accelerating. Additionally, the contact stated that upon starting the vehicle in the morning, the vehicle would jump forward while still in park (P). Additionally, the contact stated that the horn had stopped functioning after the last loss of forward momentum but had returned to normal function a few days later. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 26,500.

Car is 7 months old. We had it less than 2 weeks and a rock hit the windshield and caused a crack, which we had professionally repaired the next day. 3 weeks later another small rock hits the windshield and it cracks to the point we have to have it replaced. 5 weeks later another small item hits the windshield and it cracks and we have to have it replaced again. Today, a small rock hit the windshield and caused a crack that we will be having repaired tomorrow. I have never had a car where we had to have a repair or replacement of the windshield more than once every 1-2 years and this is the 3rd windshield in the car in less than 7 months. My insurance has covered the costs so far except for the time and trouble of me having to take time off of work to go to the windshield place and have it repaired or replaced. I complained to the Hyundai dealership about this situation and the service manager told me "maybe you should drive on a different road". We drive this car 2 times a week on well traveled paved freeways. This is insane and makes me concerned that the glass is too thin potentially being a danger in the case of an accident. Plus when you pay 45k for a car, you would expect the windshield to last more than a month at a time.

I previously leased my vehicle from Rick Case Hyundai in April 2023, In November i started having issues with my vehicle as i moved to Colorado. My whole vehicle starts to uncontrollably shake going 25 mph and over. Since highway speed limit is 65 that is where i struggle the most with driving and that is the most endangering as well. I have to pump my breaks and hope they don't stop working. I have taken my car to get a diagnostic multiple times at different dealerships and each time i went to another dealership they advised a different problem I can send an email or mail with all attachments of diagnostic reports from Hyundai dealership. Each dealership advised one of these problems, engine, brakes, rotors, tires, etc, although the vehicle was a few months old! I reported lemon l to Hyundai Customer service with 2 different attempts and they denied my lemon law and advised i should pay for anything not under warranty. Although the vehicle has a manufacture defect i will be continuing to attempt different dealerships to help my cause since i am endangering myself and everyone around me. I have done enough research to know i am not the only person with this problem and this should be a recall defect. I need a solution so i can drive in the state i live in ,Colorado, and not be scared for my life that my car will stop working at some point.

1. Component and Availability: The panoramic sunroof shattered spontaneously. The failed component was replaced by Myrtle Beach Hyundai, but I have documented the damage with photos, and the vehicle is available for inspection to show the remaining glass debris inside the structure and the damaged headliner. 2. Safety Risk: The sunroof shattered with a loud, gunshot-like noise while driving at 60 mph on a highway (I-95), causing extreme driver distraction and potential loss of vehicle control. Furthermore, a large amount of glass shards fell into the cabin and remains trapped inside the headliner. These hidden fragments continue to rattle, causing ongoing distraction and posing a risk of injury to occupants if they fall through the damaged interior fabric. 3. Confirmation by Dealer: Yes, the problem was confirmed by Myrtle Beach Hyundai. They replaced the sunroof under a "goodwill" gesture, although they initially claimed it was not a warranty issue. 4. Inspection by Others: The vehicle was inspected and repaired by the authorized Hyundai dealer (Myrtle Beach Hyundai). No police or insurance reports were filed as it was a spontaneous failure without a collision. 5. Warning Symptoms: There were no warning lamps, unusual noises, or any symptoms prior to the failure. The shattering occurred suddenly and without any external impact or provocation on January 12th.

I leased this SUV 12/22/2023,upon driving it on 12/26 as i exited a major highway, leaving highway amd entering exit ramp the SUV lost brake funcrion as well as transmission function, absolute total loss of both brake and transmission systems, miraculously I was able to coast to safty with assistance from another motorist holding the car from rolling furthermore, needless to say this was a harrowing and dangerously close to a tragic accident due to this compmete failure of brake and transmission simultaneously failing,i had to incur a costly towing fee and also completely uninformed as to what the root/cause of problem was as well as any timeframe of repair,as of the time of myself writing this message and thirty plus days later ,I have recieved ZERO cooperation and even outwardly standoffish behavior towards myself,my hisband and my personal leasing agent,I am very concerned of the loaner car becoming a financial burden as my husband was forced to basically suffer rentL vetting and credit card deposit protocols upon paying for and delivering the damaged SUV,we have for weeks tried to ascertain any information on the extent and cause of damage to leased SUV as we are NOT INTRESTED in recieving original damaged because we are FEARFUL of our safety as we are STILL uninformed as of 1/31/2023 PLEASE NOTE LOCAL POLICE WERE ON THE SCENE AND CONFIRMED TOTAL BREAKDOWN STATUs/TOW NEEDED STATUS

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11544788

When driving the car and stopping at red lights, stop signs, or any other stops in traffic on roads and expressways, the car engine randomly dies and cannot restart between 3 and 10 mins. There is no warning when this is about to happen – the car engine simply dies and dashboard lights come on. There is no response from the car after shifting in Neutral or Park by pressing the start button with foot on brake. After some amount of time, the car will start. There is no warning before this is going to happen. The dealer (Patrick Hyundai) has inspected the car three times and has not been able to reproduce the problem as this happens randomly. They told me on my third visit to not bring the car back as they don't know what the problem is. The first time this happened was 4 months after I owned the car and has happened in excess of 6 times I now fear for my life when I drive this car. I was almost hit twice. I was stopped on a busy main street at a red light when the light turned green and all cars drove away and the truck approaching me assumed I would drive also but couldn’t because the car was stalled in the middle of the road. The truck veered away as last second to avoid my stationary car. The 2nd time was on expressway during traffic when stop and go driving was occurring and my car engine died again. As in previous case, vehicle behind me anticipated I would move forward like other cars but couldn’t and stopped inches from back bumper.

As I was pulling into a parking space in a parking garage, the vehicle's engine revved, tires squealed and then the vehicle propelled forward on its own, without my foot being on the accelerator. The vehicle only stopped when it hit a support column and the wall of the parking structure. There was extensive damage to my vehicle and to the parking structure wall. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk due to the car accelerating on its own. The problem has not been confirmed or reproduced by the dealer, but we did take the vehicle to the dealer for inspection and they said they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle that would have caused the unintended acceleration. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer, the insurance company and an investigator for Hyundai. Hyundai infomed us that they are not taking any responsibility for anything that occurred and that they will not share their investigator's report with us. There were no warming lamps or messages related to the problem prior to the failure. However, there have been other occasions while driving on the open road when the engine has revved on its own and I told Hyundai about that. In doing our own research, we have found that there are other 2023 Hyundai Tucson drivers who have had this exact same problem (unintended acceleration causing a crash) while pulling into parking spaces. Additionally, the air bags did not deploy during the collision and therefore the incident was not recorded by the EDR.

This Hyundai Tucson was 3 months old when the transmission started to shudder and miss gears. I immediately took it in to Ken Garff Hyundai and the service advisor drove the car and said nothing is wrong with the car and that the transmission needs to break in and sent me on my way. The Tucson did it again while in traffic and the vehicle would not go and I had to put my hazard lights on and let the car struggle in changing gears to get it off the road. The car was towed in to Peoria Larry Miller Hyundai and this was documented by that dealership of the car shuddering and that they thought it was from my insurance plug in device. I explained that the car did it before the plug in. I removed the plug in device and the car continued to shudder. On [XXX] while backing out of my garage the car began to shudder while in reverse and i continued down the road while the transmission refused to change gears. It almost sounded aa if the car was in neutral and the car would on go no more than 3mp. I had the gas pedal floored and the car would not go. I reparked the car back at my home and called Hyundai for a tow. The tow came and the tow driver stated that the seemed as if it is in neutral as he drove it up on to the tow truck. After getting the vehicle to the dealership i was told from the service advisor that this is an ongoing problem with Hyundai's dual clutch transmission and this sounds like the problem. Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11752416

The vehicle developed an intermittent but potentially dangerous engine control malfunction. After the engine reached normal operating temperature, the engine speed (RPM) would repeatedly surge while the vehicle was stopped in Park and Neutral, fluctuating from approximately 1,000 RPM to over 3,000 RPM without any throttle input from the driver. The condition occurred with the air conditioning turned off and could be reproduced multiple times. At approximately the same time, the Auto Start/Stop system stopped functioning and displayed a warning indicator. A malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) also appeared during the incident. The warning light later turned off, but the engine surging continued. This unexpected increase in engine speed raises concerns about unintended vehicle movement or loss of driver control if the condition were to occur while shifting into gear or while driving. The unpredictable nature of the malfunction presents a potential safety risk to the occupants of the vehicle and to others on the road. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Hyundai dealership for diagnosis and repair and remains under inspection. The problem is available for inspection. During my research, I found numerous reports from other Hyundai owners describing similar engine surging, idle fluctuation, and Auto Start/Stop malfunctions involving comparable vehicles. Because similar complaints appear to have been reported by multiple owners, I am submitting this report so the issue can be evaluated for a possible broader safety defect. I have videos of the incident

SERVICE BRAKES

36 months

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11745559

While driving on a highway shortly after taking delivery of this vehicle as a Certified Pre-Owned purchase from an authorized Hyundai dealership, I experienced sudden and total brake failure. The Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) warning light illuminated and an audible warning chime sounded. The brake pedal did not respond normally. I was unable to slow the vehicle with the brakes and was forced to make an emergency maneuver to exit the highway and come to a safe stop. Upon inspecting the vehicle after stopping, I discovered that the rear left brake caliper had completely detached from its mounting bracket. The caliper was on the ground beneath the rear of the vehicle. Brake fluid had leaked onto the road surface. The vehicle had been in my possession for less than one full drive since purchase. As part of the CPO certification, the selling dealer performed a multi-point inspection and documented installation of new brake pads and certified the brake system as in good working order. The detachment of the caliper is consistent with mounting bolts that were either not reinstalled or not properly torqued following the dealer's brake service during CPO preparation. I have photographic evidence of the detached caliper and brake fluid loss. INJURIES: None, but significant risk to myself and other highway drivers. FIRES: No. MEDICAL ATTENTION: Not required. CONTACT WITH DEALER/MANUFACTURER: Yes — Hyundai corporate complaint filed. I am requesting this complaint be investigated as a potential safety defect related to brake service practices during Hyundai CPO vehicle preparation.

Fuel system failure

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

37 months

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11768415

2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited, 2.5L GDI, Alabama-built (VIN 5NMXXXXXXXXXXXXXX), built [XXX]. On [XXX], at about 37,550 miles, the check engine light came on flashing and the engine ran rough while I was traveling in Canada. My scan tool showed P0300, P0302 and P0304 (misfires on cylinders 2 and 4). On July 6, 2026, Experience Hyundai in Charlottetown, PE (service order 92XXX) replaced one ignition coil under warranty. No fuel injector leak test was performed. The misfires returned. On [XXX], at 39,409 miles, my scan showed P0302 active and P0304 pending. The car also had extended cranking after sitting and the check engine light was on. I was told I could keep driving the car unless it started to jerk or engine light started to flash, then immediately stop driving it and have it towed. On September 25, 2026, the car was towed to McGovern Hyundai Route 2, Leominster, MA (invoice 148XXX). The dealer found all 4 fuel injectors leaking and replaced them under warranty with injector service kit 35399-2S133QQH. My vehicle is outside the production range of Hyundai TSBs 23-FL-002H-1 and 26-FL-001H, which cover this injector failure only for Alabama-built Tucsons produced through July 11, 2022. Yet it failed in the same way. I am concerned the defect extends beyond the bulletin dates and that a sudden misfire could cause loss of power in traffic. There is no recall for this condition. The dealer found all 4 fuel injectors leaking, even though only cylinders 2 and 4 had set misfire codes and replaced them under warranty with injector service kit 35399-2S133QQH. Steering failure

STEERING

24 months

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11685540

On [XXX], while driving a 2023 Hyundai TUCSON SEL, the steering wheel suddenly and completely detached from the steering column and ended up in the driver's lap. This sudden and absolute loss of steering control is a catastrophic failure of a primary safety system that placed the driver's life and potentially the lives of others in immediate and extreme peril. It was only due to sheer luck that the vehicle was brought to a stop without an accident or injury. Following the incident, due to fear and anxiety, the driver is now in treatment and has been unable to work. The vehicle was transported to Ron Marhofer Hyundai on the same day. The following day, the driver was met with a profound lack of respect and professionalism from the service advisor, Declan McCready. The driver and her mother were implicitly told they did not know what they were talking about and were treated with a profound lack of respect. The service advisor initially asserted there was no warranty coverage for the issue and that it would cost nearly $500.00 to fix. He also claimed his entire shop of mechanics looked at the car and found nothing was broken. However, the very next day, the dealership abruptly reversed their diagnosis and instructed the driver to get a rental car, stating they would now be fixing the vehicle under warranty. The repair order confirms the technician's findings: "verified concern steering column separated stopped bracket bent and separated replaced column housing operating normal". The vehicle had 14,479 miles at the time of the failure. There were no prior warnings or symptoms before the incident. Dear Commissioner and DMV Officials: I am writing to formally address a serious financial and safety concern affecting vehicle owners in Connecticut. As a driver with over 50 years of experience—32 of those in CT—I have never experienced rodent damage to any vehicle until purchasing my 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Since acquiring this vehicle, I have suffered thousands of dollars in damage from rodents chewing through the wiring and wire housing. Multiple mechanics have confirmed this is due to manufacturers switching to soy-based and plant-derived biodegradable materials in wiring insulation. These materials are effectively edible, attracting rodents year-round—not just in cold months. This is not owner negligence. The root cause is a material deficiency in the vehicle's manufacturing. Consumers should not bear the financial burden of a known design choice made by the automaker. Repairs are costly, often excluded from warranties, and frequently not covered by insurance. I respectfully request the Department: Investigate the scope of rodent damage complaints linked to bio-based wiring in newer vehicles. Coordinate with NHTSA to evaluate whether this constitutes a safety defect warranting a recall. Advocate for regulatory standards requiring rodent-resistant wiring materials. Urge manufacturers like Hyundai to offer warranty coverage, reimbursement, or retrofits for affected vehicles. I am prepared to provide documentation of my repair expenses upon request. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Respectfully submitted, [XXX] cc: NHTSA, CT Attorney General, CT Consumer Protection, Hyundai Consumer Affairs INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Steering failure

STEERING

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11731406

While driving on April 11, 2026 at approximately 1:30 PM on [XXX] , the vehicle experienced a loss of steering response while the roadway curved to the right. The driver turned the steering wheel normally in order to follow the curve. The steering wheel moved freely and felt normal. However, the vehicle did not respond to the steering input and instead continued traveling straight. As a result, the vehicle struck the curb on the driver’s side. The impact with the curb slightly redirected the vehicle, but steering response was not restored. The driver continued attempting to steer the vehicle, and although the steering wheel continued to turn normally, the vehicle did not change direction. The vehicle did not appear to lose traction and was not described as sliding. Instead, it failed to respond to steering input. There were no warning indicators, messages, or prior signs of a problem before the incident. The driver was able to bring the vehicle to a stop in a nearby turn area and arranged for it to be towed. After the incident, the vehicle was taken to a Hyundai dealership for inspection. The dealership reported no diagnostic codes and did not identify any issue with the steering system. No corrective action has been taken. 1)Steering system malfunction (column, shaft, rack, and/or EPS). Steering input was not transmitted to vehicle direction. Vehicle available for inspection. 2)Loss of steering control caused curb impact and risk of collision with vehicles, pedestrians, or objects. Could have resulted in serious injury at higher speed or in traffic. 3)No. Dealer could not reproduce. 4)Inspected by Hyundai dealer. No steering-related codes found. No cause identified. No repair performed. Hyundai Consumer Affairs case opened. 5)No warning lights or prior symptoms. Failure was sudden and without warning. Electrical system failure

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11745677

I received a letter in March that there is a problem with The Tow Hitch Harness Accessory which could lead to a fire etc. They said they will come out with a repair. I contacted the Victory Hyundai dealership in Jefferson Ohio where I got the car in April and they said they have a repair but the trailer electrical/ lights will not work. I got a second letter saying they have a solution for repair in May I contacted Classic Hyundai twice to make sure the repair now will allow the lights and brakes on the trailer work. Julie and Jesica there said all would be fixed and the lights and break lights will work. I brought the car there June 5th 2026 and asked again if all would work. Lyna there said no. I left. I called U-hall Streetsboro Ohio and talked to Bill who handles the hitch repairs and they said they could fix totally and have for some dealerships. I called Hyundai customer service Kyre and asked if Hyundai in Streetsboro Ohio can be set up to have it repaired. He said no. He would not document his response to me. I bought this car with their factory installed hitch because I needed one to pull my boat and move other stuff. My lawn tractor broke down and I have to pay $135 to have it towed for repair. I am unable to fish in my boat since I can not pull it. There is a repair that will work at U-haul and they are ignoring it.They want to make the hitch unusable. Uhaul will fix for $250-$350. If they disconnect the hitch electrical and the car is sold the new owner can get into an accident since they would have no lights and break lights, turn signal. This is a high risk for an accident. They intend to eliminate the fire risk and create an accident risk for the trailer now not working. What kind of engineers they have?? They should be contacted about this situation. It has been several months with no solution when one exists. I have had multiple Hyundais and will no longer purchase another vehicle from them. You should communicate with them on this issue.

I leased my 2023 Hyundai Tucson from your Authorized Dealership South Shore Hyundai in NY March 18,2003. I received the vehicle with 34 miles on the digital Odometer at approximately 1750 eastern standard time. At approximately 2030 eastern standard time with the vehicle at 62 mile on the digital Odometer. I was Driving with my family, which is made up of my wife, daughter 22yrs old and son 14 years old on the Wantagh Parkway South approximately location 40.740739,-73.544842 at the speed limit of 55 MPH. I began to hear knocking noise from the front of the vehicle that progressively got louder. Then immediately the check engine, brake, oil, key with car, battery, open doors, every light that the dashboard has came on. Immediately the whole vehicle lost power and I could no longer accelerate. The steering wheel got stiff and the vehicle had no response to brakes. The vehicle started stuttering. The engine died, RPMs at 0 and no response on the accelerator, brakes and steering. The vehicle would not start.I tried push start several times start the vehicle, remote start, app start and putting the remote close to the push start with no results. I felt helpless and in a very dangerous situation that this brand new Hyundai vehicle put my family and me in. My family’s life was at the mercy of a 62 mile brand new 2023 Hyundai Tucson Sel that I received less than 2 and half hours ago from a certified dealership South Shore Hyundai in NY. We were stuck in the left lane in the middle of the Wantagh Parkway south bound with nowhere to go with the median divider to my left and to the right it was a fully active lane of on coming traffic in order to reach the safety of the shoulder. My family and I had to cross a full active lane of on coming traffic to get to the shoulder safely. We were able to get to the shoulder safely. The safety hazards presented by this vehicle created is dangerous to America Families. Brand New vehicle should not suddenly shut off.Put the public in danger.

Fuel system failure

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11628049

(1) [XXX] (14,568 mi): The vehicle had been running normally. My wife was about to switch lanes at an intersection when the vehicle started to shake and vibrate. The entire dashboard lit up and the vehicle quickly died. She tried restarting it and the engine wouldn’t turn over. Anytime there was an attempt to restart, there was a potent odor of gasoline. The car died in the middle of the road. It would sort of start but then it wouldn't move and would just shake and smell of gas. After many minutes of trying to start the vehicle, barely got power but was able to pull to side of road around other cars. Hyundai app reported codes: P030300 and P217800. Had car towed to local dealer. Picked the car up and next day spoke to the service manager who indicated there was a 20%-25% chance this would reoccur. He said there was nothing he could do as Hyundai would only cover the cost for the existing issue. The paperwork from the dealer shows it was a P0303 for cylinder 3 misfire and system too rich caused by leaking fuel injector for cylinder 3 (low pressure). [XXX] (14,702 mi) I was driving the car, in middle of an intersection and the vehicle started to vibrate and all lights on dash lit up (check engine, battery, etc.) and smell of gasoline. Car hesitated and wouldn't move. Died in intersection. Had to have 2 people help push me as I was dead in middle of road with people beeping and passing me. Got to side of road and couldn't get vehicle to start. No error codes on app this time, but all symptoms were exactly the same. Called for tow, different dealership due to location. Dealership indicated they would return it to us safe, but because of Hyundai policies, they can only work on the affected items. This is well documented by Hyundai owners of this problem and going by what the service manager of the first location told me, this is common to spread to other injectors. THIS IS UNSAFE! TWICE IN MIDDLE OF INTERSECTIONS! TWO MORE INJECTORS! SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT! INFORM
