SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170504-5E703-2147403759. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Homedics HHP-375H. Incident: I use this personal massager for my back...and I really need it! About a month ago the wires at the base broke and shorted out, and my lights went out. I went to the breaker box and turned my lights back on. Then was able to see the wires had broken and I actually had flash charcoal on my hands! Wow! Had no idea there was a recall. I bought this thru Amazon and returned it to them.

Incident: The consumer indicates that when she was about to turn her massager on, it exploded and sparked on her stomach, leaving her a stomach burn slightly larger than a coin quarter. The consumer contacted the Manufacturer via e-mail explaining the situation and is awaiting a response. The consumer states that the massager works only when it is plugged into a wall however she unplugs it after every use. The consumer plans on keeping the massager for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues. I did end up seeking medical attention from my doctor on April 30, 2020. Also, after the shock I received, when I looked at my stomach it was completely black in the location of my burn.
