After the oven fire was put out and cooled off, MY husband was able to lift up the over floor plate. HE said it looked like the heating element overheated and caught fire. MY husband said there was melted plastic wiring.We have never used anything,but glass and metal baking pans in our oven. The oven is less than 2 years old and shouldn't have done this. OUr home could've burned down if we hadn't been able to put out the fire. Something needs to be done. This oven is unsafe! Amana Stove and their other products should be recalled befor they kill someone.

After I turned it to clean the oven locked and the surrounding outer top and door became extremely hot though unaware of the magnitude of damage until 3 hours of cleaning the door unlocked and an error message blinked where I turned the oven off. Even with the unusual smell and fumes that filled the kitchen there were no signs of what was happening until I opened the door. If I were not at home to keep an eye on it, it would have caught fire.

Incident: I have an (Amana brand) stove that was purchased less than a year ago so I am still under manufacturing warranty. On top of that I purchased an extended warranty. On Sunday, September 21, 2025 my daughter was boiling water on the back left side burner. It started smoking pretty bad then caught fire. At first we couldnt get the fire to stop so we called the fire department while trying to contain it. Eventually after covering the fire with a lid it eventually stopped and went out. The fire department came to make sure the fire was completely out. Advised us not to use the burner until the stove had been serviced and looked at. I have been trying to contact Amana who I registered my appliance with via their card that is attached to the information booklet of the stove. I tried reaching them through their chat feature on their website that was of no assistance and I couldnt access a live agent so I decided to call their hotline. Nobody answers the phone and you are held on the phone for long periods of time. I tried calling several different times/days and still couldnt get through. Then I reached out by email to explain the situation with my appliance as well as informing them of how difficult it is to get through to them. They basically blew me off in their response email and suggested I call the same number I had been calling to get assistance. I told them I was not going to call them again because they dont answer. They replied by sending me their website link to reach out via the other ways I have already tried. Im tired of the back and forth and lack of care for my situa
