7 confirmed failure reports · Early signal · Data confidence: Low

Early signal (7 confirmed reports) suggests shorter ownership before failure (typical 6 mo), but that is not enough data for a D or F grade.

Incident: LG stove, one burner turns on, another burner is full power. Or one burner will go from what it is set on to full power on its own. Then it won't turn off. We called LG and said there was a recall, but there have been no posts about the recall. They did come out pretty fast and replaced all of the burner controls. The technician said he has been really busy doing this. but sicne LG has not put out a notice this could really be a bad issue

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250219-6863F-2147333068. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LSEL6335FE. Incident: I purchased a new LG electric Range from Lowes in December of 2024. Upon using the range more than one burner turns on with one control knob. Sometimes it happens without knowing and doesn't turn off creating a fire hazard.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260103-2F624-2147324920. Severity: Injury, First Aid Received by Non-Medical Professional. Matched catalog product: LG LSEL6335FE. Incident: While using an LG electric slide-in range, the surface burner remained ON even though the control knob was in the OFF position. Turning the knob did not shut off the burner. This created a serious fire and burn hazard. The appliance could not be safely operated, and power was disconnected to prevent injury or property damage. No injuries occurred, but there was a clear risk of fire or burns.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240921-F7F04-2147336398. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LSEL6335FE. Incident: Purchased a LG countertop oven/range in May 2024. 2 weeks after purchase and installation, all 5 burners (electric) lit up like a Christmas tree without turning knobs on. One knob was on and cooking. Could not shut it off and we thought it may cause a fire so I ran out to service entrance and flipped breaker. After LG missed an appointment to repair we went on summer trip and came back two months later. LG finally sent engineer out to repair. One week after repair I noticed right rear burner was lighting up for a second or two then would go off. Burner knob for that was not on, but adjacent burner was on. This happened twice, but has not repeated to date. Discussed with engineer and was told this model is having a lot of problems and the only way to repair was to "shotgun" all the parts involved. LG is not cooperating and was supposed to get call from LG Presidents representative within 3 days. Never received call or text.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20241107-13C65-2147335495. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: LG LSEL6335FE (LG Range 30 in. 6.3 cu. ft 5 Burner Element Slide-In Electric Range PrintProof Stainless Steel). Incident: Our LG range burner is activating with incorrect burner knobs and heating with no indicator light. Upon turning any of the burners on, the front right burner of our LG range will also heat up, despite being set to "OFF." When this error occurs, the front right burner heats with no indicator light, presenting serious risk of injury or fire. I discovered this issue after nearly burning my arm upon reaching over the front right burner (which I expected to be off) while cooking dinner. We purchased the range less than 6 months ago and LG has already sent a technician out twice (once to confirm this issue and once to repair a similar burner malfunction that occurred prior). We requested that LG replace the range, and Home Depot has also contacted LG twice on our behalf to request replacement of the range. LG has stated that their policy is that three attempts to repair the range (by their technicians) must be made before they will issue a replacement. I expressed to LG that I am uncomfortable with an additional attempt to repair, because the burner that is malfunctioning is doing so without an indicator light. This means that even if a repair temporarily or partially resolved the issue, a future malfunction may go unnoticed - greatly increasing the risk of injury or fire.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251205-EA26E-2147325875. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: LG LSEL6335FE (LG Slide In Electric Range). Incident: We have remodeled our kitchen over the past summer and fall. We purchased an LG Slide In electric range. We have had three near fires with this range being turned on accidentally. The issue is with the control knobs. They are across the front of the range nearest the door. This model does not have a back, the whole unit is countertop height. The knobs can be easily bumped and turned on without the user knowing it. The most recent time (yesterday) a knob was unknowingly bumped. The result was a melted silicone mat and a house full of smoke. After the first two similar events, we found in the instructions that there is a "lock" function for the controls. This works if the user remembers to "lock" the controls after each use. Yesterday this step was missed. The part that is a flaw or could be improved on is: when the unit is locked and a knob is turned there is an electronic tone to let the user know that the unit needs to be unlocked in order to be used. When the unit is "unlocked" there is no tone or indication that a burner or oven has been turned on or off. The additional flaw is this example: The oven is being used and a knob is bumped, now the user can have a burner heating up with unintended results because the range must be "unlocked" for the oven function to be used. So, at this time there have not been any injuries, just some unpleasant smoke and ruined oven silicone mats. So far, my wife and I are the only ones using the product but we will have a child home from college for holidays and summer that will use this as well. I think that possible solutions to this prob
