The burner turned on high and the oven tray sitting on top of the stove melted to the glass top. The house filled with smoke. When it cooled, it popped off and took a piece of the glass with it. I have tried contacting Samsung but they are dismissive and tell me to get child locks. They don�t make child locks that fit!

The burner turned on to a high setting with minimal contact and ignited items on and near the cooktop, causing a kitchen fire that burned for hours while the homeowner was away. The product was being used as a normal household kitchen appliance in a residential home. The incident did not involve intentional burner activation or misuse of the appliance. Video evidence shows that the knobs on this model can engage with very slight, unintentional contact. The fire caused extensive property damage, including permanent damage to the cooktop, surrounding smoke and heat damage, destruction of household items, and damage to personal electronics.
