Reliability signal

9 confirmed failure reports · Early signal · Data confidence: Low

Early signal (9 confirmed reports) suggests shorter ownership before failure (typical 18 mo), but that is not enough data for a D or F grade.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20131213-B69A6-2147449094. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Item #5300950|Model #FCFE3062AS. Source model text: FGES3065KBA. Incident: Woke up at 4AM to the smoke alarm going off. Frigidaire smooth stove top burner had spontaneously turned on and ignited an item on the stove top. In attempting to turn the element off, found that only way to turn it off was to turn the dial to High. High is off, and the detent position of Off leaves the burner on high now. The controls are electronic, so it is not a mistaken position of the knob. The symptoms are exactly the same as an existing recall, but my model number is not covered in the existing recall.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20120503-0D21A-2147467900. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Item #5300950|Model #FCFE3062AS. Source model text: Model No. FDB4315LF. Incident: During the wash cycle, the dishwasher became so hot the countertop above was too hot to touch and we smelled smoke. After tripping the breaker to be certain it stopped heating, I waited for it to cool down. When I opened the door, the sprayer arm and part of the door assembly and styrofoam was melted, as well as several plastic items and the handles of two knives. When I called the service number, I was told the machine was out of warranty (by only a few months) and the only thing they offered was a slight reduction in the price of new dishwasher. After MUCH arguing with successive levels of personnel at Frigidaire, they agreed to pay for the parts to repair it and we agreed to pay for the labor.

Incident: We own an Frigidaire Gallery 30 inch. FGEF304DKFB model - just a little over 1 year after owning this unit - the racks in the bottom oven no longer hold up when putting anything on them due to the cavity of the oven being defective / expanding. This problem has led to multiple spills and presents a significant risk of burning of hands when trying to retrieve items that have spilled. Spilled food also results in smoke and fire inside the oven.

Source model text: Model # PLF398CC D. Incident: Stove top right front burner will not shut off. Items near stove had gotten very hot. Had we not noticed, there would have been a fire. We went on line to find the problem and fix it ourselves. We bought a switch from Sears Parts Direct. The switch came and it was the wrong one. The switch came and it was not the right one. Sears Parts direct will not allow us to return this 96.95 part that is the wrong part in the beginning. Then we went on the Sears Parts Direct to complain and get help. A window popped up on the screen and asked if we needed help. We replied to a person by the name of [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] told us to buy a 180.88 burner. We received the burner but found that it did not fix the problem. They refuse to take the burner back. OK, now we are out 277.83 and have a stove that is a fire hazard. We went on line one more time to check for recalls. We have found that their IS a recall on this product for this exact fire hazard issue. We are very upset that [REDACTED] did not tell us about the recall from the United Sates Consumer Product Safety Commission. This Commission stated that because of the recall, Sears is required to send a repair person to our home and fix the issue for FREE. We will be contacting SEARS again and request that the stove be repaired free of charge and request the return of our 277.83 that is owned to us because they failed to send the correct part, and failed to tell us about the recall.

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20251016-FD1C3-2147327031. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Frigidaire Item #5300950|Model #FCFE3062AS (Frigidaire 30-in Glass Top 5 burners 5.3-cu ft Slide-In Electric Range Stainless steel ) Item #5300950|Model #FCFE3062AS). Incident: My Frigidaire 30-inch glass-top, 5-burner, 5.3 cu ft slide-in electric range (Model FCFE3062AS, Lowes Item #5300950) turned on Broil mode by itself while not in use. Flames appeared inside the oven, and smoke began filling the kitchen and home. I immediately exited my home and called the fire department. Firefighters arrived quickly, extinguished the fire, and unplugged the appliance. They advised me not to use the range again. The product was being used in a residential kitchen at the time. Although I was preparing to cook, I hadn't turn the oven or stovetop on, nor had I touched the controls when the broiler activated. No injuries occurred, but there was smoke and soot damage inside the oven and smoke throughout in the house. This is the fourth incident with this range, three of which I contacted the manufacturer. One time, the warm zone turned on itself, without having touched the stove. The other incidents involved the lock feature engaging without having touched it. Since purchasing the home, the oven door locks often, requiring me to press and hold the lock buttonfor a specified period of time to open the door and operate the oven. However, the buttons stopped functioning while in locked mode, requiring a Friday 9/25 and 10/7, and a service technician replaced the control board on 10/14. I've contacted the manufacturer for the warranted product to report this and request a new range as I no longer trust this one. I will be obtaining the incident report from the City of Dallas Firestation. The product was being used in a residential kitchen at the time; no one was cook
