This problem appears similar to the 2012 recall of LG smooth top electric ranges.

Incident: Knobs on this range turn on with the slightest pressure. The knobs are on the front so if you brush them by walking by or reaching over the stove they turn on. More than once I have returned to the stove to find it turned on accidentally. This is a huge fire hazard. We have had this stove for a couple of years. I complained to LG from day one and all they did was sent replacement knobs which did nothing to solve the problem. We have been using the child lock but sometimes we forget. This morning I woke up to feel heat As I entered the kitchen. The main burner was on high. The microwave mounted above the stove was very hot from being exposed to this burner all night. My husband forgot to turn on the child lock after being in the kitchen. I feel it is a matter of time before something goes wrong.

It is experiencing burner issues - when either of the front burners are on any temperature setting and the corresponding rear burner is turned on, the front burner goes to HIGH. It is a Model Number LRE-3061ST/00 and a Serial Number 001MMCB09555. This failure not only has caused burnt food on the front burners but is a huge safety factor nd potential fire hazard.

Incident: I have an LG Range that is under an advisory, but the mitigation protocols are insufficient. Their warning notes to "keep children away from the range and check it before bed." This is not acceptable. For me two incidents occured with this electric range. Once I had something on top of the range (food box) and the knob unknowingly turned on resulting in a fire. On another occasion I had a [REDACTED] dish on the stove top and again the range unknowingly turned on and caused the [REDACTED] dish to explode sending glass shooting everywhere. This range needs to be recalled. Current Safety recall is SAFETY RECALL (ID: [REDACTED]) but again it's not a recall, it's an advisory that tells me to keep kids away from the range.

This is what it says on the owners manual.). Incident: My mom and I have had a few instances where our stove/oven could have started a fire. The dials on the stove easily turn on without using any intention to start the stove. We have burnt several towels and pots unknowingly just brushing up on some dials causes a humongous worries and concerns. That is how we received this oven in 2019. We become busy, or juggling to many things in the house. Plus my mother is 86 and I have some memory issues. A couple or 3 years ago issued a recall on our model, but they offered a lock for the stove dials and would not give us consumers to exchange for another model that doesnt have this dangerous defect. I believe it takes advantage on the consumers. If my mom and I did not have these dial locks to lock in the beginning, I believe that we could forget to put the lock. Since we are the consumers we bought a product with a dangerous defect. LG should offer our money back or another model that doesnt have this defect. If we knew that this stove had this defect, we would not have bought this model or anything model perhaps with this company. This is an unsafe product.
