Incident: Samsung Model: RF22KREDBSG (Black Stainless Steel Refrigerator). This product in addition to being a lemon, has had hundreds, if not thousands of reports of unsafe operating temperatures. My exterior thermostat on the fridge is set to 35 degrees, yet routinely is in the 40-50 degree internal temperature range, when measured through an analog refrigerator thermostat. The product has been services at least 3 times since I bought the unit in December of 2018, and Samsung has refused to admit any wrong doing with these product, despite there being numerous class action lawsuits brought forth. The design is fundamentally flawed, to where the ice maker and cooling fans routinely freeze up, causing the internal fridge temps to reach unsafe temps, despite the outside temperature gauge stating otherwise. With no measures of accurate temperature control, this product is putting thousands of consumers health at risk due to unsafe food storage temps, but yet nobody has ever held these people accountable as a manufacturer. We have had a few times in the 3+ years we have had this product where we have had unexplained stomach issues, one could only assume could be brought forth from unsafe food consumption due to this faulty product.

Incident: I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF22KREDBSG in July 2017. I have had two major issues with this refrigerator/freezer combo. First, I have had issues with the ice maker not working - not making ice and freezing up. I have had this repaired on 4 occasions 5/20, 7/20, 11/20 and 11/21. Unfortunately, this is not working again. The other major issue which is causing me to report is that my freezer just stopped working. Currently it is at 70 degrees. That is also causing the cooling drawer above it not to keep food cold and we've had to throw out food from both the cooling drawer and the freezer as a result. We had an authorized Samsung repair person come to tell us what is wrong and are told the compressor, and parts related to the sealed system had failed including Temp sensor, fuse, evap cover. The estimate given was $700-800 to fix. Even the repair person didn't recommend fixing due to cost and stated that the refrigerator part can also still go out. We have used this refrigerator only as typical residential use with two members in our household. I find it hard to believe that this product is this defective and still on the market.

Incident: I have one of those defective Samsung refrigerators in which the ice maker freezes, the middle deli drawer collects water from an unload leak location rendering the drawer unusable. The refrigerator also cannot maintain a proper temperature, with a daily range of 35-53 degrees, rendering the refrigerator unusable and unsafe as the door display deceivingly displays the temperature you set at, not the actual temperature

Product: Samsung RF22KREDBSG (Samsung RF22KREDBSG Black Stainless Steel Counter Depth 22.3 cu ft French Door Refrigerator. 35 3/4in X 70 in X 31 in). Incident: I am writing you about my Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF22KREDBSG/AA). This refrigerator keeps unsafe temperatures which is a known issue to Samsung that they refuse to address. Sometimes, my refrigerator reaches temperatures over 42 degrees. There is a [REDACTED] group called Samsung Refrigerator Recall U.S.A. Now. There are over 105K members who are having similar issues. The ice machine freezes over, leaks on the interior and exterior of the appliance. Some have even sparked and started fires. I have been having issues with the product since I bought it in October of 2016. There is a class action lawsuit with the refrigerator. Samsung refuses to address the dangerous temperatures. The only thing they have offered me is to repair/replace the ice machine for free. This has already been done twiceandit has not resolved the issue. Several people have had their ice machine replaced only to have more severe issues develop as a result.
