SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200417-5E206-2147372863. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Model # FFHS2611LW. Incident: I own a 24" Frigidaire wall oven. During routine use of oven, fluids juices (small amounts -not a deluge) that fall of the top lip of the oven can drip right into the top control panel. This happened to me while I was cooking yesterday and I heard several large electrical zaps as the unit shorted. I disassembled the unit and found the whole panel burned out, but worse, there are open/exposed 220V electrical contacts on the back!!! No seal, No back cover on the control panel-exposed metal contacts. This is a highly unsafe design with obvious electrocution and fire risks

Incident: I purchased a Frigidaire Slide-In range from Lowe's in Jan. of 2007. Model number FES 355 EBB. The serial number is NF64721744. I know my appliance is out of warranty, however it doesn't resolve the fact that the oven control wiring harness caught on fire while pre-heating the oven. Thankfully we were here to take care of the problem before it set the house on fire. I contacted Frigidaire through their website. A [REDACTED], Correspondence Specialist, e-mailed me back and stated that the product was out of warranty, there were no recalls, they were under no obligation to remedy, and I could have it repaired at my expense. This is more than a light going out. This is a very serious issue with their products. After researching other forums, and yours included, this appears to be an ongoing problem with this company. Please get these products off the market and force Frigidaire to make refunds for selling products this dangerous.

The repair process took several days due to the following issues: The first service technician was extremely unprofessional and hostile, making it necessary to request another service provider. A second technician was ultimately dispatched to complete the repair. Although Frigidaire extended the warranty for parts and labor at no cost, this malfunction caused significant hardship, including: Loss of food from both the refrigerator and freezer, totaling approximately $600 Lost wages due to time taken off work Additional costs for ordering food daily while the refrigerator was nonfunctional Second Failure August 2, 2018 On August 2, 2018, I again contacted Frigidaire/Electrolux because the refrigerator once more failed to remain cold.
