Our house and we are safe; however we have a big mess to clean up with smoke, ash, and electrical fire smell. Incident: I was baking dinner in the oven and cooking on the stovetop. I heard a buzzing sound and then flames started shooting up behind the stove. After a minute the flames stopped and I was able to turn the stovetop and oven off. After the oven and stovetop were cool enough, we slid the oven away from the wall. We could see that the flames had come from the vent at the back of the stove. We removed the back panel and the controller board was black from the fire. Had the wall behind the stove not been tiled, the wall could have caught fire and resulted in a very dangerous situation and our house being burned down.

Incident: On 11/16/25, while cooking with the oven set at 350 degrees, a fire spontaneously started in the area of the control panel of our Samsung electric range. The fire erupted out of the top of the stove, burned itself out and resulted in black smoke that smelled like an electrical fire. Samsung sent a technician to verify. I took photos of the fire origin and have bites from the technical inspection. The fire did not spread to the house and fortunately there were no injuries but we are reporting hopeful the CPSC will investigate and cause a correction before others have a similar fire. We paid for the range 11/8/2015 but did not take delivery until sometime in 2016 between 5/1 and 7/1.

Incident: I was heating up my Samsung range(model #NE59J7630SS) and all of a sudden the stove started sparking behind the panel. It then blew up in flames. As the fire dept. was coming my husband pulled the range out and was able to put out the fire. The fire dept said this shouldn't happen with a range so they had an inspector come and inspect the range. The fire dept as seized the range as they want to investigate further. I have spent the last few days cleaning the smoke up in my kitchen. Grateful the fire didn't go any further. My range was only 3 years old. When it was 1 year old(1 day past warrenty) I turned on the range to self clean and then it blew a fuse. The technician told me to pull the range out more so that it doesn't get so hot as the range tends to blow a fuse easily when self-cleaning.

Incident: In December of 2015 I purchased a Samsung Electric Glass top Range from [REDACTED] Home Depot. In February 2020 The Right front burner Seemed to be faulty until finally Burning out. We attempted to contact the service center at the Home Depot with a receipt and Services plan good until December 2021, but was told we did not have the required receipt and would have to acquire that prior to activating warranty. I then went to the store in [REDACTED] store to produce the correct receipt and was told it would have to be the store of purchase. All other area's of the Range oven and three other burners worked appropriately. Today while using the Oven and the Left front burner the control panel Popped very loudly and sparked and ignite with flames reaching two feet. Able to pull the range from the wall and turn off the breakers and put out the fire with an NABC fire extinguisher. The fire was hot and rapid and smoked up the wall.
