I have been in and out of the shop since May of 2025 I have a paper trail of all dates and events including the times I did go in for a recall the times I was changed whe I should have never been charged , bout 3 or 4 times . I’m on the interstate and I’m going like 74/75/76 and my speed drops on me to like a 10-15 and I try to move as quickly as possible because everyyyyy time that has happened to me it’s either I’m finna cause an accident or an accident between me and another or two other HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO VOICE THIS , I’m afraid I will lose my life behind this vehicle because of these issue and what make it so bad I keep Being told it’s not due to the recall but in fact I know it is I will get a lawyer involved if I have to just this pass month in February I went through the same thing again and I keep being responsible for the repairs that have something to do with the engine but Miracle Nissan of Augusta on Washington rd keep telling me it’s not that when it is. I need some one to help me I tried to get in contact with Nissan community affairs they sent out someone to the dealership but the manager at the dealership told me a different time than the lady rep I was speaking with at Nissan community affairs told me so I was confused, when that day come about for the DTS /DTC APPOINTMENT the person came to Augusta, Ga Nissan location and spoken with the manager already before I could even meet with them about my own car . Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11758582

My 2022 Nissan Rogue has entered reduced-power/limp mode approximately nine times. The specific component causing the malfunction has not been identified. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. When the malfunction occurs, the vehicle displays a malfunction/reduced-power warning and substantially reduces available engine power. Several occurrences happened during a long-distance trip involving highway, mountain, and desert driving. The unexpected reduction in power creates a safety concern during highway travel, merging, passing, climbing grades, or travel in remote areas. The problem is intermittent and has not been successfully reproduced by an authorized Nissan dealership. I presented the vehicle to a Nissan dealer and reported the repeated events while the vehicle had approximately 56,500 miles and remained below Nissan's 60,000-mile powertrain warranty mileage limit. The dealership advised that it could not diagnose the problem unless the malfunction occurs again with an active diagnostic code. I have also reported the problem to Nissan Consumer Affairs. The underlying cause remains unidentified and the vehicle has not been repaired for this condition. Warning messages appear when the malfunction occurs. During the long-distance trip, diagnostic codes were cleared to restore vehicle operation. The vehicle would then operate normally for a period before unexpectedly entering reduced-power mode again. My primary concern is that after approximately nine occurrences, I still have no diagnosis or assurance that the condition will not recur during highway operation or another situation where maintaining vehicle power is necessary for safe operation.

POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11730897

The issue first began in February 2026, when the vehicle started showing signs of engine malfunction and poor performance, which ultimately led to a full engine replacement by an authorized Nissan dealership. After the engine replacement, the vehicle continued to experience serious and recurring drivability issues. On multiple occasions, including March 16–17, 2026, and most recently on April 11, 2026, the vehicle failed to accelerate properly even when the gas pedal was fully pressed. The vehicle would move extremely slowly and felt as if it was stuck in a low gear, with loud engine noise and lack of power. This created a significant safety hazard, as I was unable to accelerate normally in traffic, increasing the risk of being rear-ended or unable to safely merge or cross intersections. Additional symptoms included: •Engine shaking while idling •Intermittent loss of power and poor throttle response •Transmission not shifting properly •A/C blowing warm air at idle but cold while driving •A diagnostic issue indicating loss of communication with a control module (VCR/module) The problem is intermittent and unpredictable, making it difficult to demonstrate on demand, but it has occurred multiple times in real driving conditions. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by an authorized Nissan dealership, including technicians and a shop foreman. The dealership has stated they were sometimes unable to reproduce the issue and have attempted repairs such as performing an idle relearn, but the problem persists. Despite major repairs, including a full engine replacement, the vehicle continues to experience dangerous loss of acceleration and drivability issues, posing an ongoing safety risk. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11748992

I am reporting a serious safety concern involving my 2022 Nissan Rogue equipped with the 1.5L engine. While driving in normal traffic, my vehicle suddenly displayed an "Engine Malfunction" warning with no prior indication of an engine problem. Immediately after the warning appeared, the vehicle rapidly lost power and could no longer maintain the speed of surrounding traffic. I had very limited ability to accelerate or safely maneuver, creating a significant risk of being struck from behind or becoming stranded in an active travel lane. There was no advance warning that a catastrophic engine failure was imminent. The vehicle ultimately became inoperable and was towed to an authorized Nissan dealership. The dealership diagnosed the engine with coolant leaking into the cylinders and determined that replacement of the engine assembly, turbocharger, and catalytic converter was required at an estimated cost exceeding $10,000. My vehicle had previously experienced engine-related concerns and was included in Recall Campaign R25D1. That recall was completed, but less than 30 days later the engine failed catastrophically. Based on this sequence of events, I am concerned that the existing recall may not identify or address all engine conditions that can result in sudden loss of motive power and catastrophic engine failure. I have since learned of numerous publicly reported complaints from other owners describing similar failures involving coolant intrusion, sudden loss of power, and complete engine replacement in 2022 Nissan Rogue vehicles equipped with this engine. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether these engine failures represent a broader safety defect and whether additional corrective action is necessary to protect the driving public.

I own a 2022 Nissan Rogue that has experienced multiple critical safety defects. The vehicle has repeatedly lost engine power without warning, exhibited delayed acceleration, and failed to engage gears—creating dangerous driving conditions that have put me at risk. Service History and Warranty Disputes: February 20, 2026: I brought the vehicle to the dealership after experiencing loss of engine power. Diagnostics revealed that the EGR Pressure Sensor had internally shorted, causing a loss of communication diagnostic trouble code. The service department replaced the exhaust gas pressure sensor assembly. Despite the defect being a manufacturing fault and my purchase of a wraparound warranty, I was charged out of pocket for this repair. When I questioned the warranty coverage, I was transferred to consumer affairs and informed that only the dealership determines what is covered—an unsatisfactory response to a valid warranty claim. May 20, 2026: I returned to the dealership after the vehicle lost engine power again and lurched violently forward with jerking motions. The service department replaced the engine mounts. However, after only one day of driving, the same dangerous symptoms returned. May 29, 2026: I brought the vehicle back to the dealership for recurring loss of engine power, delayed acceleration, and violent lurching. The service department replaced the EGR system, which subsequently caused the spark plugs to warp. I was charged $400 for this additional repair, despite these being recurring manufacturing defects that should be covered under warranty. Conclusion: This vehicle demonstrates a pattern of dangerous, unresolved mechanical failures. The repeated issues—combined with warranty coverage disputes and repeated out-of-pocket charges for factory defects—indicate serious safety and reliability concerns with this 2022 Rogue.

My 2022 Nissan Rogue 1.5L VC-Turbo is experiencing repeated limp-mode/reduced-power events, severe hesitation, poor acceleration, rough/shaking idle, and recurring DTC U0652 after Nissan marked recall 25V-437 complete. The vehicle is available for inspection. Reduced-power symptoms were documented as early as Dec. 2024 and significantly worsened by Oct. 3, 2025 at approximately 100,400 miles, including loss of power at highway speed. I previously reported this condition to NHTSA under Complaint #11696068. The first Nissan dealer (Willis) used a borescope, claimed “sludge,” recommended engine replacement, refused to provide supporting photos/evidence, and did not remove the oil pan. Willis later provided me an oil sample, which I submitted for independent analysis. That analysis showed multiple bearing-associated wear metals without an abnormal viscosity condition explaining the findings, and confirmed the oil pan was had not been checked. A second Nissan dealer was contacted to performed Nissan’s recall screening/software procedure. No engine light could be on upon arrival. Because the intermittent condition did not occur during the brief test, Nissan marked the recall complete. The warning light is now illuminated again and the vehicle is again entering limp mode/reduced power. I contacted Nissan for assistance and was told they would not provide towing or further recall assistance because the recall is listed as complete. I am currently stranded with the same safety condition after Nissan declared the vehicle remedied. My complaint is failed recall remedy/recall effectiveness. Nissan’s screening process classified this vehicle as remedied, but the safety condition continues and appears progressive. Nissan is now using its own “recall complete” status to refuse further action despite recurring loss of power and independent evidence of internal engine wear.

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11718026

Incident Summary: On February 14, 2026, at an automatic conveyor car wash, my Nissan vehicle would not shift into neutral while in motion on the conveyor belt. It stayed in drive/reverse, creating a hazard as it could resist conveyor movement or cause unintended acceleration/reverse. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Transmission shifter/gear selection system (likely electronic shift-by-wire or CVT controls) prevented shift to neutral while vehicle was in low-speed motion. This seems due to a software safety interlock blocking neutral during movement, similar to reported Nissan issues (e.g., Rogue/Pathfinder/Ariya models requiring hold procedures or "neutral hold mode"). Vehicle available for inspection and in my possession, Knoxville TN). How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Inability to shift to neutral prevented free rolling on conveyor, risking resistance, jerky movement, hopping off track, collision with mechanism/other vehicles, or rear-end incidents. Hazard to me (driver) and car wash attendants/customers. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? UNKNOWN — Incident today; not yet diagnosed/reproduced at dealer. Similar owner complaints noted in forums (difficulty shifting to neutral at car washes due to safety features). Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? UNKNOWN — No inspections yet by Nissan, police (no crash), insurance, or others. No damage occurred. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps, messages, noises, or symptoms prior. Shifter worked normally idle (shifted to neutral after initial exit), but failed again in motion—likely motion-related interlock.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a persistent water intrusion defect in my 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum that Nissan has not formally addressed through a recall, despite published Technical Service Bulletins acknowledging the issue. During periods of heavy rain and when using automated car washes, water enters the cabin from the sunroof area on both the passenger and driver sides. I discovered this only after observing blue soap residue running down the interior side panels, and upon further inspection have since noticed signs of mold growth inside the vehicle within the past month. After researching this problem, I learned that this issue is well documented and widespread among 2021–2023 Nissan Rogue vehicles. Nissan has issued multiple Technical Service Bulletins, including TSB BT21-020B, identifying defective sunroof drain clips and revised repairs. However, Nissan has not issued a recall or formal owner notification, despite the clear pattern of failure reported online across consumer forums, Reddit, and Nissan owner communities with hundreds, if not thousands, of similar complaints. I was forced to seek repair through a local Nissan dealership, which charged me $289.24 for the repair. This defect is not the result of wear and tear or misuse, but of an inherently defective design component that allows water intrusion into sealed vehicle compartments. This defect creates health risks from mold exposure, risks damage to interior components and electronics, and reduces vehicle resale value. I believe Nissan should have issued a safety recall rather than shifting financial responsibility to owners for correcting a known manufacturing defect. Continued water intrusion and mold formation represent a health and safety concern that warrants NHTSA review. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this matter and require Nissan to issue a recall or provide reimbursement coverage to affected owners. Thank you for your consideration.

On 3/25/2023 with less than 800 miles on the vehicle, the throttle got stuck. The cruise control was on but NOT activated. After passing a vehicle on a 3 lane interstate, the vehicle accelerated on its own to over 100mph. I hit the cruise control button to turn it off, but the car continued to accelerate on its own. I hit the brake to slow down and try to get it to shut off (thinking if was a cruise control issue), but every time I lifted my foot off the brake pedal, it would accelerate to speeds of 90-110mph. I continued to brake about 7-8 times, then I heard a loud "kurplunk" in the engine, and it stopped. It continued to drive normally for the rest of the trip. The Rogue was taken to the dealership and checked out. I was told the "floor mats got stuck on the gas pedal and not to drive with both the carpeted mats and the rubber mats in the vehicle." I told the service manager this obviously was not the problem and there was a bigger issue, and that did not explain the loud sound coming from the engine. Upon leaving the dealership that same day on 3/30/2023, I accelerated to get on an onramp to Interstate I35, and the RPM stuck at 3200 and would not go down. The engine roared. It was in Sport Mode, so I switched the vehicle to Standard and the RPMs dropped to 2000-2100. I circled back around and went back to the dealership and had the female servie manager ride with me. The engine continued to roar at high RPMs, and the service manager said this was "normal." We returned to the dealership; nothing further was checked out on the vehicle. 7/28/2023 At 4442 miles, I accelerated to get on an onramp to I20 and the accelerataor got stuck again; I was riding the brakes in traffic on the onramp to get the vehicle to slow down. If i removed my foot from the brakes, it accelerated on its own. I kept my foot on the brake and kept pumping until I heard the loud "kurplunk" and it quit once again. This has happend two more times in December of 2023.

June 8th, 2026 I was driving to work when my car began to have problems accelerating. My cars acceleration was inconsistent and would not allow for appropriate throttle response. After realizing this was not a fuel delivery problem I tried to come to a safe area to pull over in which I could not do so rounding a roundabout. After making it through the roundabout my cars acceleration was depleting fast. I pulled over as much as I could before I put the car in park and turned the engine off. After the engine was turned off I attempted to restart it. Upon restarting the vehicle began to shake violently as if the back tires were still in rotation and began making an awful noise. I turned the car off and called someone to come assist me. Moments later a random civilian operating under the name “bulldogs handyman and roadside assistance” pulled up behind me. He attempted to help me restart the car to understand what was going on. The car at this point could not turnover. He then asked me “are you out of gas” because visually my car was perfectly fine. I was indeed at half a tank. The man then plugged a code reader into my car and received the code A11P7. At this time a light finally went off on my dash board showing “check engine” symbol. We called Nissan due to the recent recall on my car and had it towed there. The Nissan dealership claims my EGR cooler failed resulting in coolant to enter my engine and overheat the engine causing it to fail. However, Nissan refuses to check the oil pan because the code specifically installed for the recall did not populate. Their diagnoses is plausible however, I just had a multi point inspection 4 months ago by this exact dealership. My cars mileage is 71,315 miles. All maintenance is up to date and I never had a coolant leak. I have had many people INCLUDING EMPLOYEES tell me about the EGR cooler failing and how it is a known problem for Nissan. The EGR cooler needs to be inspected in these models! They are defective.

CVT Low Power light came on 9/10/24. I had it at the dealer within 15 mins. On 9/12/24 I was told I need a new engine. The dealer refused to give details to me and extended the warranty on 9/16/24 as to how/what the exact issue was. The extended warranty closed the case because of this. The dealer told me they declined it and refused to repair it. He suggested that since the car is drivable, I could take it. I spoke with the extended warranty myself to see why. They stated they didn't deny it but closed it because the dealer needed to demonstrate what was wrong with the engine. The advisor eventually told me that all 3 cylinders had low compression. I requested they contact the extended warranty company and have them come again and they demonstrate that to the inspector. On 9/23/24 a request was made for another inspector to check my vehicle. 9/27/24 I called the extended warranty company to see if there was a report from the new inspector. They explained that the dealer showed them the low compression and the next step would be to break the engine down to find the source of the problem because it may not need an entire engine. I made it to the dealership a few hours later to extend my rental and get an update from the advisor. He told me the warranty company was still refusing to do the work. He suggested that since the car was drivable, I should take my vehicle. His only suggestion was to drop the oil pan and see if any metal fell out. This would've been $170-$200. I asked if that would resolve the issues with my vehicle. He stated not necessarily. On 9/27/24 around 4 PM, I requested to have my car moved to the front of the dealership because I had a tow truck on the way. He refused to have the vehicle moved. In the close-out ticket, he stated that the warranty company and customer denied repairs. which is false. No lights/messages ever came on. When I'd bring it for a service, I'd explain it was loud and vibrating. They'd always tell me everything was fine.

POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11696068

The vehicle intermittently loses power and displayed “Engine Malfunction/ Service Now” warnings beginning several months ago. Diagnostic code U0652 (Lost Communication with EGR System) was recorded. This failure was later confirmed by a Nissan dealer, who identified a faulty EGR valve and differential-pressure sensor, with low coolant and internal coolant loss (no external leaks). During review with Nissan’s regional case manager, engine contamination was noted as a factor, yet this information was never disclosed to me by the dealership. The EGR valve, cooler, and sensors share coolant and exhaust pathways with the engine, meaning contamination within those circuits can block sensors and cause drivability loss or limp-mode events — exactly what occurred. Despite these findings, Nissan classified the issue as “unrelated” to Recall R25A8, which involves internal bearing debris and coolant contamination capable of circulating through those same systems. Nissan offered to cover only 50% of repair costs and refused to provide their decision in writing. Nissan’s recall inspection procedure requires removal of the oil pan and inspection for debris, which was never performed. I was provided an oil sample after diagnosis - proof that the pan was not dropped. This raises concerns that Nissan failed to follow the prescribed recall diagnostic process. Additionally, I have been forced to personally pay hundreds of dollars for a rental vehicle because Nissan stated rental reimbursement would not be provided until the repair is completed, despite the vehicle being undrivable due to the recall-related defect. I do not feel comfortable proceeding with the repair or continuing to drive the vehicle in its current condition, as the underlying recall issue has not been properly addressed or resolved. This defect poses a serious safety risk due to potential engine failure, sudden power loss, and internal coolant contamination that could lead to further mechanical damage or fire.

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11705183

The vehicle, a 2022 Nissan Rogue with the 1.5L VC-Turbo engine, suddenly entered severe limp mode: unable to exceed 35-40 mph on flat roads, barely 10 mph on hills, with high RPM and noise. The malfunction indicator light illuminated along with "engine malfunction service now" message and triangle warning light. These symptoms exactly match the early warning signs in safety recall 25V-437 for defective engine bearings that can cause progressive degradation, engine damage, or failure. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Nissan dealer, who performed the recall inspection (oil pan drop) but reportedly found no metal debris. The dealer then diagnosed separate issues—oil temperature sensor, coolant temperature sensor replacement, full oil pan replacement for minor seepage, and other warning lights—and quoted approximately $1,900 in customer-paid repairs, claiming they are unrelated to the recall or warranty despite the symptoms aligning precisely with the recall's description of bearing-related limp mode. This created a safety risk due to sudden loss of motive power while driving, increasing the potential for a crash. As a full-time cancer researcher and PhD student who depends on this vehicle for daily lab commuting and time-sensitive experiments, the breakdown and repair dispute have caused major hardship: over a week without transportation, extensive time coordinating tows, appointments, and escalations with Nissan Consumer Affairs, and disruption to critical research. The dealer confirmed the limp mode and warnings, and inspected the vehicle under the recall procedure. Warning lamps/messages appeared suddenly prior to towing; no unusual noises noted earlier. The affected components (engine controls/sensors potentially stressed by the bearing defect) remain at the dealer for inspection. The recall should provide free ECM reprogramming, oil change, and gasket replacement even without debris, yet the dealer is charging for diagnostics and repairs from the same defect.

POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11565870

I was caught in a snowstorm, driving about 5 MPH. Suddenly, the vehicle swerved to the left and I lost complete control; the brakes locked up. The vehicle spun about 145° degrees before coming to a stop perpendicular to the road; subsequently rear-ended from behind. The moment was surreal; I’ve never felt closer to a life-threatening incident because I had ZERO CONTROL over the car: I was spared ONLY because there was no oncoming traffic. My biggest concern is why the safety systems failed to intervene. During the incident, the ABS did NOTHING. Traction Control, NOTHING. NO warning lights came on. It’s mind blowing that the car skidded about 145° degrees without any intervention from the ABS and Traction Control systems. With modern 4-channel ABS and advanced Traction Control (Vehicle Dynamic Control) safety systems, the car should have attempted to correct itself. Because I was at a standstill, I was braking the entire time; I didn’t jam the brakes or steer the vehicle. To make matters worse, the car was in Snow Mode AWD. One hypothesis is a glitch where Vehicle Dynamic Control won’t operate in snow mode to give maximum engine performance. But at the cost of reduced safety and traction. Or perhaps the safety systems are not working as intended. The emergency brake malfunction light occasionally comes on when idling and several malfunction messages once during a long trip. However, these were sporadic and did not appear before this incident. Moreover, the maintenance person at my apartment recently experienced the same issue. While on the road with his new 2021 Nissan Rogue, his car spun out of control FOUR TIMES. He's driven in the snow in other vehicles without a problem, and will NEVER drive the Rogue in snow again. Because this vehicle failed in a critical safety scenario, I’m requesting Nissan carefully inspect the safety systems, including the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Vehicle Dynamic Control free of charge. Will escalate this further if needed.

I own a 2022 Nissan Rogue with approx 71,139 miles on. While driving on the freeway at 65mph, the vehicle suddenly lost power and became disabled. Prior to the failure, the vehicle did not dispaly an overheating warning, coolant warning, or other indication the engine was overheating or experiencing coolant loss. The vehicle was being driven normally and was on the way to routine maintenance and fuel stop when the failure occurred. An independent repair facility diagnosed coolant intrusion into the combustion chamber and determined the engine had overheated and required replacement. The vehicle's sudden loss of propulsion occurred without warning creating a safety hazard for myself and my daughter as I was forced to coast to a stop in the Gore Area of the freeway just as you entered the [XXX] from [XXX] due to the inability to maintain speed on the freeway. This was the safest area for us to park but it was terrifying as cars zoomed past us from both sides. I am concerned that the engine failed without adequate warning to the driver and that similar complaints have been noted by several others describing the same issue with the same year, make and model as my car. Multiple reports have said it occurred while on the freeway, making this a greater concern for safety. I took my car to Nissan who stated they see the coolant intrusion, but that it was not covered under recall. I asked what caused the internal leak, to which they replied that would require them to take apart the engine to examine further at my cost. I advised the issue with the car not indicating it was even out of coolant to cause it to overheat was concerning because even if I replace the engine, if the electrical failure isn't addressed I could run into the same issue and this time actually get into an accident that could cause death or serious injury. My car is still at Nissan Mission Hills Dealership and available for inspection upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIO

Subject: Safety Complaint and Recall Concern – 2022 Nissan Rogue Engine Failure and Resulting Consumer Harm (VIN: [XXX] ) To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report a catastrophic engine failure involving my 2022 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ), and to request review of potential safety and recall-related concerns. In November 2025, while I still owned and was actively financing this vehicle, it experienced a sudden and complete engine failure attributed to an engine control module (ECM) / engine-related issue. This failure rendered the vehicle inoperable without warning. At the time of failure, I was not informed by the dealership of any existing or potential recall, defect investigation, or manufacturer responsibility that may have applied to this condition. I was advised that the vehicle was no longer viable and was directed into purchasing a replacement vehicle. As a result, approximately $17,958.15 of remaining debt from the failed Rogue was rolled into the financing of a replacement vehicle, creating significant and ongoing financial harm. I have since become aware of recalls and defect investigations affecting Nissan Rogue vehicles in this model range, including conditions involving engine failure risks that may require inspection, repair, or replacement at no cost to the consumer. My concerns are as follows: 1. Whether the engine failure I experienced is related to known defects or recall conditions involving the Nissan Rogue. 2. Whether adequate notice, disclosure, or remedy information was available or communicated to consumers and dealerships at the time of my vehicle failure. 3. Whether this failure represents a broader safety issue that may affect other drivers. 4. Whether consumers may be incurring avoidable financial harm due to lack of awareness of recall-related remedies. This failure created both a potential safety risk and significant financial consequences that I believe may have been preventable if INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT

Re: Formal Demand for Repurchase or Replacement Under Utah Law and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act Vehicle: 2023 Nissan Rogue VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: 104732 To Whom It May Concern: I am the owner of a 2023 Nissan Rogue and am writing to formally demand that Nissan North America, Inc. resolve a serious and ongoing defect affecting my vehicle by repurchasing the vehicle, replacing it with a comparable new vehicle, or otherwise providing an appropriate remedy. The vehicle has experienced a substantial defect involving the continuously variable transmission (CVT). Nissan replaced the original CVT under the manufacturer's warranty at no cost to me. However, immediately following that replacement, the replacement transmission began exhibiting serious defects, including seizing, repeated stalling while driving, and the appearance of electrical fault codes. The vehicle continues to stall unexpectedly, creating an unreasonable safety risk for me, my passengers, and other motorists. A vehicle that loses propulsion while in traffic cannot reasonably be considered safe, reliable, or fit for its intended purpose. Despite Nissan's opportunity to repair this defect, the problems remain unresolved. Replacing one defective transmission with another defective transmission has not corrected the underlying issue. These defects substantially impair the vehicle's use, value, and safety. I have complied with Nissan's warranty requirements by presenting the vehicle to authorized Nissan dealerships for diagnosis and repair. Nissan has been afforded a reasonable opportunity to repair the vehicle but has been unable to provide a permanent remedy. Accordingly, I believe I may be entitled to relief under applicable Utah law governing warranty obligations and defective new motor vehicles, as well as under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 2301–2312, which provides consumers with remedies when a manufacturer fails to honor its written warranty obligations. Subject: URGENT SAFETY COMPLAINT - 2022 Nissan Rogue (VIN: XXX) - Recall Remedy Failure I am filing a formal complaint regarding a life-threatening defect in my 2022 Nissan Rogue. This vehicle has experienced three (3) total losses of motive power at highway speeds, nearly causing multiple accidents. I am now afraid to drive this vehicle as it remains a substantial safety hazard. Recall & Repair Failure: The vehicle is subject to Recalls R25E2 and R25E3 for engine bearing and throttle body failure. The dealership performed an ECM software update which effectively removed the "open recall" status from my VIN history. However, the dealer refused to perform the mandatory physical oil pan inspection for metal debris required by the recall protocol. The car still exhibits severe bucking, hesitation, and gurgling noises. By only performing a software "fix," the manufacturer has cleared the safety alert while leaving a catastrophic mechanical defect unaddressed. This is a complete remedy failure. 30-Day Out-of-Service & Misdiagnosis: In January 2025, the dealership retained my vehicle for over 30 days. During this stay, the service department initially informed me via text that the engine required a full replacement. The following day, they abruptly changed the diagnosis to spark plugs. I have text records of this contradiction. This 30-day stay meets the statutory presumption of a "Lemon" under Florida Statute 681.104. Unresolved Issues: Despite replacing the throttle body, EGR valve, water pump, and various mounts, the engine still stumbles, especially from a stop. The dealer manager previously discussed a vehicle swap but attempted to force a new credit application, treating a safety-defect remedy as a new sale. I am seeking a Substitution of Collateral (Swap) on my existing loan terms for a reliable vehicle. Below, I put the date this all started, last service was a 3/9/26-power loss/throttle Current Mileage: 55,000 Dealer: Nissan of Cape Coral, Florida INFORMATION RED

See attached document for complaint. I have gotten all your notices about the recall, and we advised our dealer Courtesy Nissan now Cooley Nissan of Richardson, Texas and t hey said they will advise us when they are prepared to correct the faults. Unfortunately, everything you describe in the literature happened to the above car before we received your notices and I spent almost $15,000 correcting the problems. We were advised at the time that we did not put oil in the car causing all the warning lights to come on even though we regularly went to an oil change company to change the oil. I was told they could put a new engine in, and the cost would be about $10,000. I reluctantly agreed and realized the man that advised us to do this at Courtesy/Cooley, I believe, was fired the next day or in any event he was no longer there after that. Sometime after that all our warning lights came on again and we were back at Cooley, and they said the alternator needs changing so they changed that charged me around $2000 and were ready to return the car. That day before picking up the car I was in the sales department trying to trade the car for another car and they advised me they could not do the exchange because the red lights are still on! This is the day I am picking up the car from having the alternator changed and I would be penalized because of the mileage on the car also. I explained I have a new engine and should not be penalized for the old engine's mileage. I went back to the man who serviced the alternator change and he said don't worry about the light being on as they can fix that as they found t he motor mounts broken which were re placed when the new engine was put in. I then authorized them to fix the car so the lights would go off, and it was hit with another big bill. I still cannot believe the car was being returned to me with the warning lights on. I have heard Cooley has a very bad reputation in Dallas and if these are examples then I understand where those c

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 60-70 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while driving in the mountains, the message "Engine Malfunction-Losing Power" was displayed, and the vehicle failed to accelerate upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The contact stated that upon restarting the vehicle, the vehicle shuddered significantly. The contact turned off the vehicle due to safety concerns. The contact and her four family members, who were also occupying the vehicle were picked up by the contact's sister. A tow truck picked up the vehicle 12 hours later. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the thermostat was replaced. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated while driving on the freeway 3-4 days later. The contact advised the dealer that the failure could be related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the dealer informed the contact that the failure was not related to the recall, and the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the fuel pump had failed and the dealer replaced the fuel pump two weeks later. The contact stated that upon picking up the vehicle and driving to the residence, the vehicle shuddered. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the engine and transmission mounts were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that oil was leaking into the inner cooler, and the oil leak was most likely from the turbo. The dealer replaced the inner cooler, the turbo, and the fuel injectors. The manufacturer covered the repair; however, the failure persisted, and the message "Engine Malfunction-Losing Power" was displayed. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of
